I guess I don't see what is so bad about Rhodes's play? Nobody shuts down their guy all game long.
Like zimmer told him,  he needs to play up to that big contract number.  He isnt doing that consistently enough.

does anyone really think rhodes will be on the team next year. cut him sign waynes
winner winner. Rhodes wont be a Viking next season...unless he takes a significant pay cut. Waynes is our best corner and its not even close.

You really think next offseason he's just cut? No way.
yup sure do. $4m dead cap $8m in savings. I also thing griffen will get cut for $13m in savings ($800k dead)  Those moves give us enough to resign waynes and maybe one more between mac, harris and kearse.

I think Mike Hughes is going to be our best corner - and that's saying a lot.

I think between Waynes and Rhodes its pretty hard to say who is better,  Waynes is beaten pretty badly at least once a game and Rhodes coverage is getting a little weaker across the board... neither of them are the lock down island type guys,  but Hughes looks like he could be as long as the match up is right,  I have to think Hughes will look a little more pedestrian against somebody like Julio Jones or another big fast receiver (that Rhodes has actually excelled against)

Rhodes just isn't the player he was two years ago...Hughes will eventually/ shortly surpass him...but the Jags won't give up Ramsey...

Depending on what we get out of Hill the last 8 games, along with Mac and Waynes...I'd try to sell high on Rhodes...

At what point will the Vikings say "we're done" with Hill?

Well,  we started the season shorthanded and we kept a guy with an 8 game suspension, who sank his own draft stock, that says a lot about his talent/ability...but, next tuck up and he's sent packing...

no reason to cut him until suspension is over. He does not cost a roster spot until then. Good insurance policy. If all is healthy and you are done with his actions, he is gone. personally I think they keep him.

yes they will keep him for now,  but I agree with Barr,  another screw up and they likely part ways.

Hughes is going to turn out to be the best CB on this roster.
