Defense lost this game in the first half.

21-0 is a hole big enough to make some people give up, but this team certainly didn't. That's the shittiest part about the offensive mistakes.  About mid way though the game, we somehow managed to pass Green Bay in total offense. We have to score.

We could have tucked our tail between our legs and got blown the fuck out of Green Bay... lucky, i guess, we fought back hard enough to set a single game situational CHOKE record. There were SO many friggen chances to get ahead of those 21 points it's annoying.

That team we were 5-1-1 against over the past 7 doesn't exist anymore... I'm holding onto a ray of hope that those 21 points were nothing more than a FLUKE. New system, no tape on their new system expect 1 shitty Bears game; and Aaron Rodgers. We seemed to figure out their offense as the game went on and by the end their offense looked a lot like one that is stuck in week 2 with a bunch of new components. When we meet again at USB this "excuse" won't fly.

Cousins was terrible.  i give him props for his beautiful throw to diggs for the long td.  but he missed several critical throws uncluding multiple on 3rd down, threw 2 crucial interceptions and continues to drop the ball.

plenty of blame to go around but he was brought in to win us games like this and he failed miserably

The entire team stunk it up. But they squandered their opportunities to win. You run, run, and run, to obtain first and goal. The Packers defense was gassed. You are on the threshold of scoring to take the lead. And you dial up a pass play for a QB who has been out of synch all day, and doesn't have the brains to throw it away, rather than risk an interception on first and goal! How do these players trust Stephanski going forward when they know full well they would have scored by continuing to run the ball? I'm pretty sure the players know Cousins won't get them to the promise land.
I think this thing is only going to get worse. And yes, the defense couldn't stop the run or pass in the first half. And they rarely stuffed the run in the second half.
But they will never get very far with Cousins.
Who was the mastermind that signed him to the 3 yr., fully guaranteed contract?

At best, he puts the team on his back and wins because of his play...

At worst, he's a neutral impact...

For the chunk of the cap he takes up, we should never lose because of him...and we did...

We aren't paying a Joe Kapp stat line.

Yep. if he was even adequate today, we win. I hate to start thinking it but he looked like he had the yips today. i hope it is not true

I think it's time to dig into the QB pool...let a rook sit behind him for the last year of his deal and then Cousins walk away to his next big payday...28 million of cap space spent elsewhere and a QB whose balls don't shrink like he just spent twenty minutes in Lake Superior would go a long way...

Paul Allen will put a “duckies and bunnies” bow on this game at 9 am. Wobby will tell us how great everyone played.

I think the defensive game plan blew going into the game. After the first quarter the D flat out balled. We had every chance to win this game, heck GB did nothing for 3 quarters. Stupid plays, Cousins stunk it up and the refs were just atrocious period...
Sadly, or luckily, I didn't get to watch the 1st half.

But I kinda feared our D may struggle without knowing what the Lafleur offense was going to do.  They had all the advantage, at home, years of film on Zimmer's D and Rodgers.  So I wouldn't say the initial struggle was shocking.
What was shocking is that we had a chance to come back in this game.  Didn't panic, we ran the ball well, the D adjusted after 1 quarter.  That alone is so unbelievable to me.  After years of defensive coaches that couldn't adjust their scheme, couldn't adjust to slow down the obvious, having a D adjust after 15 minutes of play is amazing.
Cousins tried to be the hero.  The one thing he couldn't do on 1st and goal with 3 minutes left was force a pass and give up an INT.  I liked the call, we had been running effectively, but maybe it was too obvious (I even thought we should throw, so probably to obvious) but just live to play another down.
