My first Viking game I remember watching was the Viking/Dolphins game.  Watched it with my older brother and a couple of his friends.  Yep, became a Vikes fan while watching them get their butts kicked in a SB.  How sick is that?
Mercury Morris, Csonka....That and the Raiduh's games? The Vikings were outclassed.

Could have won vs Steelers, should have won vs Chiefs.

Agreed.  And the season they probably would have won...1975...well, let's say we was "Drewed".

WORST was the Drew Pearson game....then to learn about Tark's dad passing.
Right THEN, I would never follow another team.
That wasn't even an NFCCG...But I get it.

I associated that "hail Mary miracle" to Tark's dads passing. Felt horrible for him.
How does one come away from a loss like that, only to find out your dad has died from a member of the press.

I was born in 1966 and the youngest of eight (half of whom were Viking fans) ... watched them all live on tv but don’t remember the first one.
My story - exactly! The most brutal one was losing to the Raiders. I lived about 15 minutes over the hills from Oakland. All the kids were Raiders fans. I took a lot of shit on Monday after the game. Of course, maybe I should not have worn my Chuck Foreman jersey! FUCK EM! hehe

Witnessing This event on TV was the first time I had tears in my eyes for my Vikes. I was soooooo upset. My dad was miserable to be around for at least a week. Years later, while attending an Offense / Defense Football camp during the summer - I think 1980 / 81 - Drew P. was there and had a question/ answer period. He answered my question, which was "Did you push off of Nate Wright on the Hail Mary play?" - His answer - "Yes, I did. But nothing you can do about it now". I responded back at him "I KNEW IT!!!"  - he just laughed, then said - "Next question". So I have always known 100% he did it - at least after meeting him. I read all these articles that occasionally come out wondering if he did, but I know he did - straight from his own mouth.
