I'm just the opposite Coyote...If their guy from the OL is there a few picks from 18? Say 15? 14? They gotta move up and get em. This is the desperation of the situation and they can't get caught with their knickers at their knees again. They have to get 2-3 OL the first 4 rounds!

trade down= Bradbury

Both plug and play starters.  I prefer Ford over Williams but thinking Ford is off the board at 18.

theres no way we can afford to give up picks to move up in the draft. We would be the laughing stock of the draft. You dont give up picks to draft a need! While we sit at 18, the phone will be ringing off the hook

I see Cody Ford in our future. I think to get Taylor, Dillard, or Jonah Williams they’re going to have to move up. I see an outside chance Williams get there and I’d take him as a Guard if he did. He’s an instant starter instant upgrade. If able to drop back I don’t think you can go far before Bradbury is gone. After that I see a pretty high potential for some reaches if hell bent on offensive line.

I like Cody Ford. His power, size and speed are hard to find. He can play RT or guard depending on team needs. I see RT as his spot in the NFL but at his height he is fine to move inside and could be a beast. I’d be just fine with this pick.

While many on here would freak I agree with you that all 3 should be ranked far enough ahead of Bradbury, Lidstrom, Risner and Cajuste that you have to take one.

But if they are sitting there along with Taylor, Dillard, Williams and Ford it gets much more interesting.

I personally think Wilkins, Taylor and maybe Dillard or Williams are gone by 18. But teams might devalue Oliver because of his coach being immature and Lawrence because of the injury and Wilkins being more polished (though I believe Dexter has the higher ceiling).

Heck, Lawrence might fall to late 1st territory. Oliver wouldn't last much past 18 if he even gets there.

If Taylor, Dillard and Williams are all gone and it's Oliver or Ford I would probably pick Oliver and then move up from 36 to secure Risner or Lidstrom.

Very true especially about Lawrence because most teams will think he is only a 2 down player.
But, as Belichick said, you can find plenty of 300 lb defensive linemen that are athletic but there are very very few 340 lb athletic defensive linemen walking around the planet.
I could easily be wrong and often am wrong, but I think Joseph could play the 3T very easily.
Joseph, Lawrence, Hunter, and Griffen/Weatherly would be pretty strong.

Who we pick is going to be based on too many moving parts. So if you want a specific prediction, I don't have one. 

Based on where we're picking, our needs, and the positional value at that slot, I'd say there's a 95% chance it will either be a 3T or an OL. 

The only bit of intel we have to go on right now is that we know the Vikings were interested in Ju'wain James and Ryan Schraeder. Both play RT. So, right or wrong, that tells me that the Vikings are, at the very least, OPEN to the idea of moving O'Neill to LT and moving Reiff inside. With that in mind, if we do nothing else and Jawaan Taylor is available at 18, he will be the pick. Of course, the likelihood of him being there at 18 is very low. 

Other options have so many questions and contingencies. Bradbury is a perfect fit for a ZBS, but what do the Vikings think of moving Elflein to guard? I have no idea. If pure LT Dillard is there, do we take him and turn right around and trade Reiff like SF did with Brown immediately after drafting McGlinchey? Same thing with Jonah Williams. Does Cody Ford have the kind of athleticism to fit well in a ZBS? I think so, but I thought Will Hernandez could be a stretch fit, too. Clearly, the Vikings disagreed.  Dalton Risner has a very high floor, but I'm beginning to think he's more of a gap blocker and his value is probably closer to the 30s. Lindstrom is a great fit, but like Risner, he seems like a reach at 18. But as Barr mentioned, should we even care? 

Then there's 3T. We're going to take one. And so the question becomes, what's the point of adding more middling talent to the mix with Holmes and Jaleel. It should either be an immediate starter or probably nothing at all. So there's an argument that it would make more "value" sense to get the 3T at 18 and draft OL in rounds two and three. And do we have an extra day-two pick from a potential Waynes trade? I have to say that I'd be WAY more open to going 3T at 18 if I knew I had three day-two picks to stock up on OL.

So, yeah, more questions than answers....but one thing I know for sure...it's gonna be fun. :-)
