It will be interesting to see Nagy employ Patterson...I think with all the gimmicks he runs, Patterson could be a major headache...
CP has become quite the journeyman...But god bless the kid, he's making some nice coin.
He'll be a PITA to play against twice a year.

If he was that big of a pita would he be on his 4th team in as many years? Poster child for wasted talent, his ceiling is in the clouds, unfortunately that's where his head was usually at as well and that critically limits his impact on a game plan.

Patterson is one of those players that relies on natural ability/talent and nothing else. He doesn't push himself to be at the next highest level or beyond.
It surprised me that he got a significant deal again, and pretty quickly. I'm sure Nagy has some trick plays designed for him, but seems like Tarik Cohen could run the same things.

definitely something that Rick should have picked up on before wasting all those draft picks. I wonder who was really banging the table for CPatt back then?

Do you think this could be a sign that they're already concerned about the amount of wear and tear on Cohen? He's not very big.

Hard to say. To me it seemed they were kind of freaked out about losing out on what Harvin brought to the team, and thought CP would be a bigger, better Harvin without all the headaches. B) I think they wanted their new return guy, and wanted to find that guy that can handle the 5-10 bubble screens per game.

I would agree that is why they moved up for Patterson. They traded Harvin and were trying to "replace" him. We did the same thing with Williamson after Moss.
I don't see Patterson being any different but another year older. He went to Oakland and people were like, he is going to figure it out and we are going to look stupid. He went to the Pats and people were like, McDaniel's for sure is going to know how to use him and Brady will make him what we couldn't and we will look stupid. Now Nagy is this offensive guy that will make him so much better and be the guy that no other coach could. Sure, whatever fans say.

That's a good point. The first guy I thought of was Cohen. Patterson has about 50lbs on him and easily can bull for extra yards. The other weird thing is the Bears are less than enamored with Howard. Maybe Cohen starts to further dip into his carry total. Regardless, Nagy has another tool in his toolbox, plus the Bears had the worst KR game.
