If you are insulted by this I'm not sure what to say.  It's been a brutal winter.  Record breaking snowfall.  He's on vacation in Miami.  I question why I live here myself.
Social media is packed with dumbshits that go off on EVERYTHING. Always in outraged mode. Its just a toxic stew of simplemindedness.
i think we are all being programmed that way.  civility in conversation is becoming a lost thing.  the anonymity and lack of consequence of the social media and the internet has created a whole new way people approach conversation.... always looking for the fight in the words instead of giving the benefit of the doubt and re reading or asking for meaning before blowing up.

I think KC needs to shut off the twitter,  he seems like a dude that wears a little crusty, dont care, outer shell,  but is actually the type of person that will obsess over what people are putting out there and let it consume him.   that chip on his shoulder can work both ways and right now he is taking the punches instead of delivering them.  I am kind of feeling like I did with Ponder... just shut it off and tune it out.

Not offended at all.  Like folk don't head South every winter, to escape the cold.
Take it from someone who lives here.

Lived in Orlando for 8 Years, do they still put a Z prefix on the rental car license plates for the highway patrol?

Down here in Arizona and during the winter months,  You just can't even image the number of Vikings, Packers, Bears and Lions' fans there are here to talk to or argue with.  The black and blue division is a hot topic this time of year.
I like watching the Saturday Phoenix Open golf tournament and counting the Viking jerseys.........especially the 16th hole.

I think if Kirk led the team to the playoffs, like expected, this tweet wouldn't bother hardly anyone.  He's lost a huge part of his fanbase this past season, and the trolls are just waiting for any reason to pounce.

The trolls are dickh#@ds, but I get it though.  Is anyone here just as excited about Cousins now as they were last year at this time?  I know I'm not.

I think they stopped that years ago. At least I remembered hearing that bad guys were targeting the rentals so they wanted to stop it. I don't know for sure. Good question.

I think people need to learn to temper their enthusiasm with some reality... and to learn to handle disappointment with maturity.  There were plenty of us that cautioned against being overly optimistic about KC in his first year,  especially when our OL came out of camp looking more like a chorus line.   the arm talent that we wanted is there,   no denying that he can make any throw we need him to make if given quality protection, but the pay scale is so out of whack people expect so much more than just being a quality arm talent for that kind of money, which is othen unrealistic,  especially in a turmoil filled year with a everything he had stacked against him.

Many of these Twitter trolls were anti Cousins before last season started. They are finding their voice now that they believe they are in... I told you so territory. You won't change them no matter what. If we win it's because the team is better. If we lose he sucks.
I thinks it's also fair if I feel less excited now then last off season. Is the position improved enough now to compete with the better teams at the cost of what could've been added team wise? This season it's going to be important that we beat some of these good team and at the right time. Is that all on Kirk? No but he's got the money tied up. So the trolls will speak and even us who are on board will question the return on investment.
Not that it's my money.

Before the 2018 season, there were plenty of people saying things like, "If Cousins can just stay healthy for an entire season that will be great" - and he did. Some said he just needed to get the offense to average 21 or more points per games, the "magic mark" Zimmer has called out as needed for this defense - and he did. He had the 2nd-most passing yards of any Viking QB in a season but some people want to chase him out of town.
I think Cousins lost a big chunk of the fan base just by getting caught arguing with Adam Thielen on the sideline against Chicago. Bad enough to argue with any player, but seeming to cross Thielen is unforgivable to a lot of Minnesotans.
