Why the hell would you do that to yourself? I refuse to watch it. I just can't do it.
because there is a joy in being a Vikings fan regardless if they win one or not. the overall experience is better than being a fan of most teams. more ups and downs.
just add up all the individual moments, not always good but think about it
all the teams of the 70s
all the studs of the 80s doleman, carter, milliard, browner, zimmerman
teams in rhe 90s that were a threat and would have won super bowls if not for the Herschel deal. Moss, the Favre saga. revir loveboat. stadium collapse. big K, chip and sparano
the hall of famers of the 90s, Carter, moss, randle, McDaniel. 41-0, Walsh Wide Left
weve seen the longest run in history, longest pass in history, longest missed kick run back, longest kr for a TD, AP 296. Randy’s rookie season. jared allen’s amazing 20+ sack season. Minneapolis Miracle
we have rarely had long franchise droughts. we have always had storylines and premier players even in our darkest of times.
sure it hasnt resulted in a championship but i wouldnt trade in 20 years of being in it with great players for a short span of excellence or a one year run (Bucs, Rams, Seahawks, Bears)
of all the big 4 leagues franchises, no team has a better winning percentage without a championship than ours
for that as a fan Im grateful
You confused me with the Hawks and Rams one year runs comment.
When is the last time MN went to playoffs back to back.
Hawks were a goal line INT away from back to back SB wins.
Since 2012 they have had one season below 10 wins(9) 75-36 record
Been to playoffs 6 out of last 7 years
Been to playoffs 12 times in last 16 years

and the decades before that? the late 70s,80s and 90s werent kind to the seahawks. there has been a long successful and heartbreaking history for this team, one that shows we compete often (more than GB, SF, Wash, NY) but we are also on the list of the cursed with the bills, browns and lions.
The only team that is comparable to me, and its barely are the Chargers (which is oddly my second favorite team). multiple decades of good teams and great players but cursed in the end
2 of the 3 best WRs ever dominated here
the best DL franchise (every era of vikings had a premier DL talent)
one of the best RBs ever
legendary offensive lineman
imagine if one team from the 70s wins a superbowl, the 87 team wins that year, 98 and 09. How many more Vikings are in the HOF? Marshall, Foreman, Hutch, Hank Thomas, Joey Browner, Kevin Williams, Jared Allen, Cunningham
we have had a lot of greatness over the years. The franchises that havent won one cant say the same, neither can many who have won one or two

It took me ten years to watch any replay oh 98, so I guess I'm due...
I still haven't. Of either one.
Me either....and I never will. Being there live was more than enough in 98'
You too? I was seated row 10, first deck, end zone - behind the infamous goal posts.
Me too. 30 yard line about half way up. Went to Huberts the night before and drank too much. Woke up late with a hangover and missed the tailgate I was invited to. Definitely one of the worst days of my life. Leaving the Dome and all the horrific scenes of sadness and anger I remember seeing, then driving back to my hotel and staring at the ceiling for hours..I re-live that enough. I don't need to re-live the actual game.

That makes since now, I probably over looked your point.

Section 206. About the 10 yard line. I remember that obviously the whole stadium stayed until the bitter end and nobody could get out quickly so we all had to stand there and watch the Falcons get their NFCC trophy. Gag.
