Let the excuses begin

Should have never have come to this. Shit our pants at home vs Buffalo, blew it vs Packers with 3 missed FGs.

I'm willing to give Zimmer and Spielman do or die ultimatums for 2019 season - playoff wins or you're both gone and we clean house.  I think  cousins will be the albatross that ends their careers.

Zim is great as a DC but he has yet to prove he has any clue about the offense and as a HC judging by his revolving door of OC's with the same results despite Thielen, Diggs, Cook, Murray and Rudolph at skill positions.

If you think the roster is loaded then I don't know why you'd can the g.m. who built it.   But be that as it may, it seems like Zimmer is a good d.c. but can't get a team up for a big game as a h.c. must.   I'm not sure what they do about that.   You fire him you could end up in a worse position.   Tough call for the organization right now.

The Bears dominated on both sides of the ball. They punched us in the mouth and we never responded. You are not going to win too many games if your OLine is below average at best. If you can't protect your QB in a pass first league, you have no chance. Our defensive line was exposed all year by teams that could run the ball effectively. Richardson and Joseph did not create the force in the middle I thought they would and once again we could not get off the field on 3rd down letting Trubisky escape time after time only to find an open receiver. Something is just off with this team. They have never been in sync all year.

Getting real tired of hearing about the loaded roster when they have the worst offensive line in the NFL.  If it isn't the worst it is close.

Let's hear what you got. Me personally, can't defend anything or anyone. Loaded roster. All In moves early in the season. No Playoffs. I can't possibly figure out why I should trust Rick, Mike or Kirk. There's a foulness in Denmark,.and the stench is sticking to the entire organization.
Yup - something very wrong with the chemistry, schemes etc. I'm trying to come-up with 10 things I liked about the 2018 season or team, and I can't.

Zimmer stopped improving as a Head Coach.
Agreed and this is worrisome...

There's no excuses.  From early season on, I...and many others...have singled out this offensive line as one of the worst ever seen on a supposed playoff caliber team.  Compton and Remmers routinely get beat like rented mules. O'Neill is a bright spot but the others are a 3rd string mish-mash of no names.

As someone posted earlier, Cousins is not a great fit behind a porous line.  This then takes away tight ends as they're constantly in pass protection.  And as he's never going to be a runner, this failure to adequately prepare an O line is squarely on RS.

I had a bad feeling about this game and knew it would be close at best.  But my fears proved real.   This team...despite it's better than average D and offensive weapons has no foundation...an offensive line.

From Pop Warner football to the NFL pros...you build a team from the inside (offensive & defensive lines) out and games are won or lost in the trenches.

Love and respect all you all but you can't pin missing the playoffs on having two bad Guards and excuse everything else.

If they were solely responsible for this season's results then Zimmer should be fired for not ordering either of his OCs to bench them.

The 2017 team was fun to watch.  The 2018 was not unless they were playing a nobody (not named Buffalo).
Expectations were low in 2017 which made it fun and expectations were high in 2018 which made it painful to watch.
