Did the Giants F-up not drafting a QB?

nah. they will be bad enough to draft a qb this upcoming draft and will have a great weapon at RB and WR for him next year.

if they drafted qb this year no guarantee similar RB would be available next year and Beckham may not of resigned knowing he would be with rookie soon.
I think Shurmer is going to wish that Diva was not resigned.

What if they didn't Like the QBs in the Draft?

They are still going to be picking top 5 to get QB this year.
This is true. Of course as of now next years QB class looks pretty pedestrian.

I was stunned at Gettleman's decision to pass on a QB.
Barkley may become a generational HOF player, but Eli is finished.
Beckham should just be Percy Harvined off to some other team ASAP.  His net impact on the team is negative, regardless of talent.
He makes me cringe. Perhaps my least favorite pro athlete.

This is a perfect place to insert a quote because I agree with both these takes. They will get their opportunity to draft a QB next year. OBJ needs to be gone along with a lot of other malcontents that have been polluted by that locker room. Good luck Pat. McAdoo really F'ed that team up.

I think if you ever have the chance of getting a top level QB you should always make that choice.  You just never know when the injury bug is going to bite, and a good QB will appreciate in value over time and even if you already have a good QB, upgrading to a great QB is the most foolproof way to consistent success.  If we have the chance to get a top QB, we should take it.

In retrospect, how smart was Washington in drafting RGIII (not that smart) AND Kirk Cousins (4th round) in the same draft? To me, that shows you how much they really liked Cousins. QB talent is absolute gold in the NFL.

To me, the more stunning draft move was what the Browns did. They very well could have walked away with Barkley and Mayfield at #1 and #4.

Denzel Ward is looking like a fantastic pick, though. And I think the Browns have 3 legit RBs on their roster right now. Not at Barkley's quality, but pretty good nonetheless.

That D was pretty good without Ward...Barkley and Mayfield along with Landry would be a formidable set of triplets...

I hear ya, but I also think the D is good because of Ward. The kid has been an amazing defensive rookie. Obviously, Barkley is unreal. He has looked so good. His talents will be wasted with the Giants.
