'You don't get to be the NCAA all time leading passer by being average'

Additionally, he's really started to go through his progressions more beginning with the Skins game.

That is important as I think more teams will focus on doubling Adam and Diggs more to take away the chunk plays and hope their Front 6 can stop the run or roll with more 2 High Safety looks.

That's going to mean that the RBs and Rudy will be getting single coverage against LBs. Wright, Tready and Floyd will be seeing more dime backs.

The Elite QBs keep their Big Dog WRs fed but also know how to make teams pay for selling out to stop the big plays by spreading the ball around to their other weapons, which really leaves a Defense totally, well, defenseless.

I can't blame Shurmer and Keenum for seeing two backups out there and wanting to test them down the field with Diggs and Thielen the first half.

Kudos to both for recognizing what the Falcons were doing and making the adjustments to more intermediate and short routes and getting all the guys involved.

Floyd Wright and Treadwell all had receptions for 1st Downs IIRC. Tough to stop that and the run when you're so focused on the Big Two.

Case is continuing to improve and that makes this Offense that much better as a result.

Cris Carter was saying that the Eagles are the still the best team in the NFC and that is because of the quarterback.  Cris likes the Vikings but gives the nod to the Eagles.
Along your guys thinking I am not sure if that it totally true.  I watched Wentz last night and heard the commentator say that Carson should have taken the free play and thrown the ball when the Sea Hawks obviously jumped off sides.  I also read that Wentz missed several wide open possible touch downs.  This is my first time watching Wentz play in the NFL so I will hold complete on him.  Physically he is big and strong but I like how slippery Case is.
If it were Rodgers on the Eagles team then I buy the argument.

Houston has the same reputation for gawdy passing stats.  Case is playing well and seems to be getting more comfortable but he was released by 2 teams with no QB's to speak of.  Houston had nothing and LA had a crappy Goff when he left for a 1 year 2 million dollar deal.  That said, the way he is playing right now he could have probably won them a couple extra games last year with his ability to move.

Wentz faced a pretty good and motivated defense on the road last night.  The offsides IMO wasn't obvious enough to take a shot.  But he didn't play his best game that's for sure.  Eagles are still a tough team, sure hope we play them at US Bank Stadium if we have to play them.

I thin the Romo comparison is good, hopefully he's more clutch than Romo, that really is one of the things he hasn't had to show yet.

After reading it ocurred to me how much more discipline he had to learn to play in this offense.  It also hints that if turned lose, he could sling it around quite a bit more.

My impression is he is restraining himself just enough.  Based on his past if he get's too fast and loose it bites him in the ass because he really doesn't have the arm talent(strength and accuracy) to try to be Brett Favre.  In fact that gun slinger mentality probably is one reason Brett only has one SB.   Case is doing good now and needs to just keep doing what he is doing until the situation dictates he take more chances.

I agree,  right now his only apparent limitation is his arm strength preventing him from making some throws,  but as long as teams can't force him to attempt those passes he is golden.

...if the comparison is right, then we don't want Case holding the ball for field goal tries.  Romo has fumbled the snaps on occasions.

There seems to be something to guys that are elusive in the pocket, and keep their eyes down field. When you have an electric arm, you get Rodgers or Wilson. When you have an average arm, best case scenario is Brees.

It seems that the play-calling, and his rapport with his receivers has rendered Case's arm strength moot.

There was a play yesterday where a Falcons defender had tripped maybe a yard in front of him, as he rolled to his left, and I believe he had another bearing down on him from his right. It didn't seem possible that he would be able to even get the ball out of his hands. On replay, they showed Diggs watching his scramble drill, and pointed to to where a spot where he immediately began running. Case somehow got the ball out, and Diggs caught it (I believe for a 1at). Either way, I was out of my seat fist pumping like a boxer.

I am really loving that aspect of his game. He has looked like Houdini at least a couple of time / game over the last few, and it makes me jump out of my seat every time.
Lol, I was screaming at him to get rid of the ball.  I have watched that play over and over, still not entirely sure how that guy didn't get him.

But I agree with the OP to the extent that he is improving and playing within the system very well.

But disagree with the career stats in college meaning squat in the NFL.  It is almost a black mark, a sure sign that the QB won't translate to the NFL.
