This may be a week premature, but...

I dont get this “potential locker room division”. these guys love Case but they also love Teddy. Probably more, both offense and defense. He is a leader on this team and outside of the recent FA acquistions, most are publicly excited to have him back.

crying, puking, anger, thats what the team
went through when their leader went down a potential leg amputating injury. WTF did the Packer players do when Rodgers went down?  Not even a cheap shot back in retailiation.

This is Teddy’s team and everyone knows it, including Case.
All I know is that this is Zimmer's team. I want whats best for the Vikings, whomever that is @ QB.

Case would be the obvious, safe pick, but obviously Teddy is still being considered.  It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see Teddy named the starter.  Why not?  If Teddy plays like crap, then get Case back out there.  If Teddy plays well, then it was a great move by the coach as well.

I just don't think it's that big of deal to play Teddy.  The only way to know if the QB position can be better is to make a move and find out.

Did I read a quote somewhere from Case saying that Teddy was going replace him at some point this year,  or am I mis-remembering?
It was reported that Zim told the announcers this, in the production meeting, prior to throttling the ‘Skins.

Benching Keenum would take a lot of guts. But it makes sense. Everyone is in this to make Super Bowls. Teddy has the higher upside.

That pretty much says it. But I don't think you can underestimate just how much "guts" it takes. The Rams are the best defense we've faced in weeks. What if Teddy isn't ready? Do you let him take his lumps and iron out the wrinkles, or put Case back in, almost ensuring a QB controversy every week? That could get ugly. But, man, what if Teddy is the QB most of us believe he is? Then you're putting this team on a rocket ship for the stretch run. It's a gamble and it takes titanium balls, but it's one I think you have to take.

I agree with this and mentioned it with @1500ESPNJudd. Teddy has never done what Case has done this year. Doesn’t mean he can’t, but…

So...the #Vikings threw it twice on 3rd down, up 8, game on the line 4th quarter, on the road yesterday. Keenum completed both, Vikes got a FG to put game out of reach.

I love Teddy, but come on, Keenum made 2 big time throws after those picks to seal it.
Ted Glover added,
Gregg RosenthalVerified account @greggrosenthalReplying to @greggrosenthalStarting Teddy is the equivalent of letting your QB throw on 3rd-and-8, up 3 points, with 2 minutes left. Going for it. Keenum is running the ball and punting.

Start him after this layoff? Team 7/2, with two games in 10 days?

With someone who hasn't played as well as Case in their young career?

Lunacy or Genius. There will be no in-between.

People are also forgetting that Case has never had a season like he's having this year.  Before that, Bradford had arguably his best game on the season opener.

Maybe, just maybe, this offense for the Vikes is just a very QB friendly offense, and Teddy will thrive in it too.

this is a no win IMO,  if he doesnt and Case loses a game... then it will be that Teddy would have won that game... if he makes the switch and Teddy loses a game.. it will be that Case would have won that game,  either way unless we win out and hoist the lombardi  Zimmer will be second guessed eventually.
