OK I am going to say it. Adam Theilen is a #1.

What seems odd is that instead of viewing him as the legit WR he is we just see him as a great compliment player.
I don't think he's a #1 in the sense Julio Jones is...That doesn't exist on our team. But I like the WR's we got and Thielen plays a key role for us. I think he's matured into one hell of a wide-out. He's clutch.
the problem with the Julio Jones comparison as a number one is that there are only about a half dozen guys like Julio in the whole league.  Adam is a number one on at least 10 teams in the NFL.

He's great, but he's a number 2, because he lacks stretch the field speed.  He's a great #2.  When healthy, Diggs is your #1.  Wright and Floyd are the 3 and 4.  Coley is next, then Adams.  But, inexplicably, even with his recent catches that average less than 9 yards each, Treadwell is the #3.

hoping the latter keeps showing more improvement.  He's a big target

He's not a #1, he's a good #2.

He leads the league in depth of target and deep ball production and runs sub 4.5 but lacks deep speed and is unable to be a number 1?  dohkay.   What is a number 1 mean anyway? What exactly makes Diggs more of a "#1"  the fact that he's shorter, lighter, weaker, or more fragile?  What does Diggs do that Thielen doesn't besides get hurt?  Maybe it's the fact that he is officially .07 tenths of a second faster in the 40 yard dash coming out of college?

I am not knocking him.  He is more quick than fast, and great at most patterns.  But, you will notice, they don't send him deep down the seem.  It is not the perfect game for him.  He could do it, but it is not his perfect fit.  It's not a cutdown if you are a great #2.

He's very good, but Wes Welker led lots of categories, and he was not a #1.   I think Thielen is a much more complete player than Welker, but it is just too early to call him one of the best in the league.  He's top 15.

Man, if it wasn't for Thielen and Jarius lately? Not sure we'd have much of a passing game at all. Rudy has stepped-up too. We need Diggs back after the bye, no knock on Adam with that.

He runs plenty of deep routes.  Some of his best catches have been deep on the sideline.  He may not have prototype size, but he makes up with great routes, hands, concentration.  I doubted him last year as a #1.  But he ran the X spot last year and lit it up.  Now he is in the slot and lighting it up.  IMO he is our #1.

He is our best receiver.  But he plays more of the 2 position.

If we could find a true 1 - floyd ain't it, and Treadwell seems more of an extra receiver on 3rd and long or to block on running plays.

When we had Cook, we got the deeper passes.
