Packers vs. Lions

It won't surprise me if Detroit goes 7-10 this year.
Social media is the structural mental illness of the 21st century

Happens every year that teams look unbeatable early and then fizzle.  It's a long season.  Others shit the bed week 1 and win it all later.

Wk1
1.5 pt spread
Division Game
On the road
Rook QB
Rook HC in Chi
5 game win streak in their stadium on the line

I wouldn't touch this game from a betting perspective

I think consistency pays off for the Vikings, tonight. Chicago's got a new coach/system, and if even half of the rumored issues with Caleb are true...he's behind the 8-ball in terms of learning and applying a complex new system.

For all the offseason changes, we still have our coaches, our system, and we seem to have gained far more than we lost in the offseason.

We'll see how it all looks, tonight...!
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

I'll give the Packers credit, they played well. But Detroit no longer has a great offensive line, especially the interior, and it showed. Goff didn't have his usual protection and had to rely on short passes, and the run game sputtered behind poor blocking. Defensively they didn't get a lot of pressure and left a lot of wide receivers open, and neither coordinater seemed to have answers.
To early to draw conclusions, but Detroit isn't going to make the playoffs if they continue to play like that.

That was what I saw as well.  The IOL for Detroit went from being a strength to ???

I also think the media discounted how much losing both coordinators would affect Detroit. Ben Johnson was a special play caller and the Lions offense didn't look in sync at all yesterday.  Same on the defensive side...  where was the pass rush?

Is this just a weird Week 1 outlier or is Detroit in trouble?
