Who's Your Stick and Pick Player?
#11
Banks jr
Tyler Booker
Nolen.

If none of those on the board I trade down, one of the teams needing a safety should make a decent offer.

If those 3 are gone and I am forced to pick, it’s the highest IDL, or IOL on my board.

I love all your guys choices, just not at 24.

Are we talking realistically or also including guys projected to go top 5?

With the RB, DT, and CB depth I'd be hard pressed to stick and pick if there were still 3-4 guys I liked at each position. Trade back and maybe get two instead of one.

Guys that would make me consider sticking and picking:

DT Shemar Stewart
CB Jadhae Barron (draft crush)
RB Trevyeon Henderson

they are going to trade down if at all possible. If the simply cannot get an offer they can go anywhere. I really don't have a single guy at #24 that would be a dream because my dream is a small trade back and get one of the guys they really like.
People sleep peacably at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Surprised RB is getting so many votes. And one running back in particular, Henderson. Yet consensus has Hampton at 22 and Henderson at 42. But I couldn't agree more. I've had Henderson as RB2 for months and would definitely take him over Hampton.

Henderson is going to be interesting to watch on draft day. Consensus says you can trade down and get him, but he's also one of the cleanest prospects in this class. I think he'll go earlier than expected.

As good as Henderson might be, I just don't see us burning an early pick after reloading the gun at RB.
The three needs that we have are at Safety #1, OG at #2. (unless they are convinced Brandel's struggles late last season was not having Darrisaw on his left shoulder, and DT for the push.

I say sit and pick and take either:
Emmanwori
Harmon
Zabel

Hampton is too much of a one speed runner and his lateral agility is average.  He reminds me of Peyton Hillis...  which he had a few good years, but I don't see a star.  Henderson is way more explosive and looks like a younger Aaron Jones.

I think we could trade back and get him in the early second but I don't think you can go much lower than 45.  Hampton, Henderson, Judkins, and Kaleb are probably going start of Day 2 and how they come off is going to depend on teams preference and offensive fit.  Henderson is a perfect fit for us, but other teams may prefer the bigger backs.

I thought the same thing MB...I would take him all day/every day over Hampton.

It'll be interesting to see how the chips fall draft night. I still contend RB is higher on their list than most fans might realize.

Jones is old and Mason is a change of pace guy - not RB1. Plus Barkley is fresh on the minds of all.

Agree. I don't think it's the most likely position, but it's not the long shot some thing it is. Vegas has RB as +2500! I thought that was worth a Jackson for a potential 26X profit. Those odds don't take into account how much our coach wants to help his young QB..and not just this year, but for years to come, and how much he loves RBs who can pass protect.

Per ESPN talking heads, Schefter, Yates, Schrager, many teams are wanting to trade back and not so many teams wanting to trade up. Though the Vikes will probably want to trade back, it'll be difficult to do so unless we're willing to trade back for a discount. Maybe if Shedeur or Dart are still on the board and an anxious QB needy team really likes one of them. I won't be surprised if the Vikings actually do stick and pick.
