I don't agree.
He shit the bed those last two games against Detroit and LA Rams.
Had he played on par with his best games all season, he very likely could have, but those sullied the vote.
And the rule governing the vote had been clarified as "coming back from other circumstances" definitely put Sam within the rules.

I think Joe Burrows was the right choice.

Everything that Sam could be bitten by happened in those last 2 games:

He doesnt have a fast processor
He holds the ball too long
He makes low % passes that didn't cause too many problems in the regular season, but bit hard in the 2 games that mattered most. 

I'd have been all over keeping Sam if we had won the division and a playoff game, but he came up short... 

Moving on...
