If MHj goes top 5,  does somebody else grab Rome Odunze that is in the WR market and had targeted MHj if he dropped?
I've seen a # of mocks with him going to the Bears with their 2nd pick
Hes the kind of WR I would have loved to see us get.  I have always like the thicker bodied guys that can work the middle of the field,  can take a beating and keep on playing and really have the size to over power the undersized DBs.  He was fun to watch this year, and seemed to really have his head on straight.
He and Caleb will not be fun to play 2x a year.
why must you always say mean things to hurt the ones that love you?

If we draft a TE with how much $ we’re already paying Hock and Oliver, to say nothing of the other glaring holes on the roster, then I will be pretty much off the KAM bandwagon, of which I’m still firmly a member. No chance we do that imo. I’d rather take any of the next probably 10 guys in that mock than Bowers. Not because he’s not good, but because of our current roster makeup.

I get it, this is a no trades draft and im not so big on Nix. if im sitting on Bowers i try to trade down a couple spots and pick Powers Johnson, an edge or a corner in that order.

I want a guy named Kool-Aid on the team.

Just so I can buy the jersey.

If we were unable to make a move up the board to land one of those top quarterbacks, than just take BPA at #11 and try to maneuver back into the tail end of the first round for Penix. Is it ideally what we want? No, but we could do a lot worse

that would easily become the top selling jersey.  imagine him and Sauce in the same defensive back field?

I think there's a decent chance three receivers go in the top 10. It's pretty likely two will.

I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to take a TE in the top 10, but it's possible Bower goes.

Then you have the two big tackles in Alt and Fashano. But I have a feeling since this draft is thick in OTs, those teams at the top might wait for the top of round 2 to get their tackle. If that happens, we'll probably see a glut of tackles go in the teens.

There are couple CBs who might. Quinyon Mitchell's stock after the Senior Bowl is soaring. Seems like when there are surprises in the top 10 it's usually a corner.

I cant get the math to work in my head for a top 4 QB (if there is such a thing) falling to 11.

They might have to do exactly what Supa and others are saying; if they have no takers to move up? Draft bpa @11 and hope to grab a tier2 guy later.

I don't see Minnesota trading up within top #4 picks. If someone trades up for JJM into top 4, god bless 'em. I think JJM won't be selected in the top 7 or 8. Minnesota can do what they see fit if he's their guy and he's still there then. I think odds are JJM will still be there at #11, IMO.

I'll roll with this Plan B: FSU EDGE Jared Verse and Oregon QB Bo Nix. Not ideal, but not bad either.
I think JJ McCarthy will be there at our pick too since there are 3 other QBs with high ceilings and less projection at the top.  Some respected draft analysts said earlier this offseason they were hearing from scouts the he'll go earlier than the media has him...  but I think that's more scouts have a first round grade on him and most draft places had him as a 2nd rounder.

I think he's an early teens (if a team loves him and he projects as a fit for their offense) or back half the first round pick.  Think he's more a draft and groom pick but with a big upside if doesn't have to start immediately. I'd be fine with the Vikings re-signing Cousins for 2 more years and drafting McCarthy to sit for a year or two.

A big shock I could see is either Williams or Maye falling. In my opinion, both are good prospects, but are not what they are widely being made out to be by “draft experts”.

Either falling could really set off a bidding war.

Above is performance under pressure numbers.
