Playoffs on the line tonight at U.S. Bank Stadium
#11
The OL is improved but I think the Niners will pissed coming off a loss in CLE. Now they're back home and I foresee Kirk getting pummeled and possibly turtling. Hope I'm wrong but we've seen it happen many times before to both Kirk and in fairness to him, many other QBs as well. If Addison can't separate and Hock and Mattison don't play markedly better than in previous weeks, I'm just not sure where our points come from. Best chance to win is probably make this an ugly slugfest, which isn't really our coach's MO but might be what's needed tonight.
Regardless, I'm excited to watch the squad play on MNF. Hoping for a close game, at least.
EDIT- Just realized we're at home tonight. Sound the horn! Vikes by a million baby!

I’ve actually entertained the idea of the Vikes pulling one out of their asses tonight, as a 63yr old fan, I apologize in advance for such foolishness…!  Wink :p

Vikings money line tonight. Purdy due for one of his classic ISU choke jobs.

I see this as either a close nail biter,  or a complete blowout loss,  but either way this is exactly the type of game our boys find a way to win every year, but then cant follow it up with anything of substance.
Thats exactly the way a 7-10 win season plays out...
Fixed it for ya…!  Wink B)

Play clean football and amazing things can happen. But it's important to note that if they do that, it will be the first time all season.

Sounds like McCaffrey is playing. This is not good. He needs a few shots to the midsection to make him think twice about that.
Not to be an Eeyore, but even w/out McCaffrey and Deebo, I would still take the 9'ers to win.

I just dont trust this team or O staff this year...Its just "off"

They're favored for a reason. And the Vikings without JJ is a much bigger factor than the 49ers without Deebo.

But I do like a few of the matchups, particularly Hunter against whoever replaces Trent Williams, and our tackles against their edge rushers. Sure, Nick Bosa, but he has 2.5 sacks, 10 tackles and 5 TFLs. In comparison, Hunter has 8 sacks, 22 tackles and 11 TFLs.

I also kinda like Flores blitz-happy-and-play-man defense against Purdy, who showed he's far from perfect last week against a similar defense. Shanahan and Purdy will slice up a zone, so we should see more man tonight. Can our corners hold up? Probably not consistently.

Either way, if Cousins is "on" AND finds the sons of Addi and Hocken early and often, AND the Vikings play a clean game for the first time this year, AND don't shoot themselves in the foot AGAIN, this should be a pretty good game. Vikings by 10. Take it to Vegas and thank me later.

I have a feeling you're correct about this.   Hopefully those constant to's are behind us and we finish the drives and
put up points.   Hunter hopefully feasts upon the back up LT and gets in Purdy's face.  If CMC has a strained oblique
muscle he's not going to be comfortable or has effective with some constant blows to the gut.

I think we can pull off a W tonight.

My guess is the Vikings get stomped tonight.

But hey, that's why they play the game.

I keep thinking about that Philly game when they drove the field for a TD by running the ball 15 times in a row.  Once Philly realized the Vikes had no way of stopping their running game, they took over the game.  I think San Fran can probably do the same.  If not, then the Vikes might have a chance.

The 15 play TD drive @ Philly ended my hopes of the Vikings being relevant in 2023.

Ya know what's funny about that? The Vikings have the NFL's number 1 run defense. At home. They're also 0-3 at home.

49ers 28, Vikings 24. Akers fumble on the San Fran 5 yard line with 54 seconds left to sink the game winning drive.
