I've been to Detroit.  If those fans really cared they'd leave the Bills snowed in and help them miss the plane.  Just sayin'.

I've lived in snow country my whole life,  but I can't fathom choosing to live in a place that regularly gets snow events that are measured in feet.  Hats off to the people of western New York and other places that get lake effect  snow,  thats just insane.

Growing up in Montana, the biggest snowfall I remember as a kid was 17 inches. But hey, the schools were open! In fact, I don't ever remember getting a snow day. Not once. On Thursday it snowed 3 inches in Denver. My kids were on a 2-hour delay. 3 inches!!

Which reminds me....once during a cold spell in Billings, we were not allowed to go outside for recess until it warmed up enough. I still remember the temperature on that balmy day it was finally warm enough: 11 degrees. LOL. Should I get my jacket?

But this 6 feet shit every couple of years. NFW.

We got 18” of snow in TN about a decade ago. It only lasted a day or two. I remember snowfalls in the 2ish feet range growing up in southern mn. I grew up on a dairy farm, so a day off school meant having to work vs sitting in a warm school.

The biggest single snow event i remember getting was around 3 feet in the early 80s,  it came with our usual 30 to 50 mph winds and it made drifts that went completely over houses from one side of the street to the other.  I hope I never see anything like that again in my life as I dont know how I would ever get my farm and road opened up without major help.  We had one a couple years ago that left 8 foot drifts through my drive and that was miserable enough to get cleaned out.

Funny thing...one year down here in Tucson, Arizona we got 3" of snow on the ground and people were calling in a "Snow Day" at work.  I thought "What the hell?"  People were worried about driving in it, but by later afternoon it melted all away.

Wow, I can see Flagstaff, maybe even Phoenix, but Tucson? That's nuts.
