First of many...This game went a long way to washing the bad taste of 2016 away...

I was glad he did it in a game against Peterson. I don't hate the guy or anything, but I think he burned some bridges with the Vikings talking about being disrespected and then how he wanted to stick it to them.
I figured "stick it" really meant "show the Vikings and fans how much they're going to miss me and were wrong to let me leave". Watching Cook succeed had to be double poison: not only did Peterson fail to produce anything we would covet, but he saw, firsthand, that we replaced him more than adequately.

I think it was Tom at training camp that told me that "Dalvin Cook is not going to replace AD, but he will make people forget about him"

Yeah and I think that's about right. Peterson is a once in a generation talent, and while Dalvin cook could have all the same amount of impact he has his own chapter to write in the history books.

There were quite a few Cook jerseys and fans saying things like where's DC at or come on DC. It was exciting.

Much ado about nothing in St Petersburg...lost power for a day...pffffftttt...Irma hits like a gurl...
Not here in Dunedin.  Lots of damage and not power.  Moved to a hotel for one night so I can sleep

Cook played a very nice game; in pass protection too. He's a tough guy, and I really liked he broke AD's rookie record.  A rookie AD would've scored on that last long run though.  B)

Looks like the Vikes got a really good one in Cook.  He clearly deserves to be the #1 RB.
Well given Murray's dubious contributions last night, I don't think there is any danger of Cook losing the #1

No but I think we will see more of Murray this weekend and the coming weeks.  I have to imagine that he is on a limited number of snaps until he is fully up to seed from missing the whole Offseason.

Depends on if Murray can hang onto the ball.

He will be fine.  That's part of knocking off the rust.
