What an awesome display by Bradford!  So damn proud of him and the way our D played on MNF.  Skol Vikings!
I'm glad everything  worked out, but man did that feel like a Bend but don't break defense tonight.   That was a strong offense and the D stepped up, but if those FGs had turned into TDs, it could have been a whole nother game.

I'm sure the D will get it corrected.

When it's Drew Brees you're going against, "bend" is the best case scenario.

He played as well as you can play the position last night. Period. Elite performance. Its what the former Heisman trophy winner and #1 overall pick can look like when he has time. He's an extremely talented passer.

Vikings have a Heisman Trophy winning, 1st overall pick, in his prime. And maybe for the first time in his career, he's got some real stability (health, scheme continuity, weapons, protection). He's got to put together a few of these games, but this could pay off big. And since we got Dalvin Cook, too, it's like we didn't give up a thing to get him.

Damn, put an offense with this defense? I was just hoping for some balance. An "OK" offense to go with our elite defense. This offense could actually be pretty good.

Wow! What a performance!!!!!

That guy was laser accurate tonight!

Man oh man!
Sammy showed how well he can play with average protection. Franchise/upper echelon. He made some great throws

That was a tough draw for the defense game #1. Brees is as tough as it gets. Right up there with Brady and Rogers. Making them settle for FG's was huge.

Payton was dumb not to play their rook running-back more than they did.

Yup, Sam has to show it over time. He could be in line for a big $$ pay-day if he does.

Lets be calm.  We went 5-0 last year to start the season.  It sure looked dang good though.  I've got beaten wife syndrome though.  To damn many whoppings over the years.

The key to the whole game--having time to throw the damn ball. The line needs to improve run blocking but they did a damn good job in pass protection. So nice to see Sam slingin' the ball waaaay downfield!! Diggs and Thielen are a great 1-2 combo and woahhh....Treadwell caught a pass :O The pass to Wright was a thing of beauty. The ball literally disappeared between the 2 defenders closing on Wright and just zipped into his hands. That was one beautiful pass!

I'm still not sold on the D. They have some things to clean up. Kendricks played a nice game. Run D was definitely better than the preseason by a mile. Waynes is still a work in progress. Sendejo was lucky that Brees overthrew that end zone pass to, who was it? Lewis? I think the Saints miss Brandin Cooks.

I'm with you AGR; however, for the OL's first game they played good and improved as the game went on (very good sign). Cook looked like a gourmet chef. Diggs and AT19 sure look good together and we only improve in our WRs (adding Floyd) in a few weeks and as sleeves begins to trust Treadwell. Also, Treadwell will continue to improve, he was getting open at times. Diggs is special, that's all that can be said. Our D will continue to improve as guys like J Johnson and Bower get seasoned and Brock gets healthy.

I have been snake bit and wasn't all that excited coming into this season. Last year hurt me. But we looked good last night and we will only get better by adding some very good players over the next few weeks. And yes, our OL will continue to improve as they work together, and if sleeves keeps getting 3.5+ seconds to toss to guys like AT19 and Diggs (who will ALWAYS be open with his routes in that time) we will have a fun season.
