What’s your take on first 2 days?

Ed Marinaro and Kwesi earned identical grades.

After the day-one trade debacle, which was probably the worst draft-day blunder since Tice missed a pick in 2003, Kwesi recovered nicely and has had a solid draft.

Cine and Booth are two tough, aggressive, but disciplined big school DBs who will be tone setters for the secondary. I think nearly half of us at one time or another had us taking Booth and Cine in our mock drafts. Interesting it was the other way around, but Kwesi is very much a needs-based drafter.

Ingram was not on my radar, but his pass pro grades are very encouraging. Vikings now have several options on the interior.

Asamoah sounds like a Kendricks clone. With Blake Lynch as our only depth at IOL, I feel a lot better about that position.

Yea reading more on Ingram and dropped sexual charges against 2 minors while he was 16...No Thanks, would have been taken off my draftable list.  I know dropped is an important word but I can't imagine 2 sisters under 14 claiming a year long sexual contact is not without some merit.  Again, no f'in way, not a fan and never will be.

Asamoah might be slighty to small even as a "will" in the NFL.   He looks more like a Safety at 6'0  220lbs but is not fast enough to be a Safety.  I know Kendricks is listed at 6'0 about 232 but he also much quicker.  Looks like a tweener to me.   Hope I wrong about him.

The players may pan out fine I hope they do.

But how they got here, trading with division rivals, strengthening division rivals? Moving 20 spots down off #12 was BS.

I've moved from hopeful to WTF with KAM

Well I would have been thrilled with Booth at 32 and Cine at 42 so it doesn't matter the order, I like both players and it is a complete lottery anyway.

No clue about G - Ingram

The last pick - LB - Asamoah looks to be a good pick at 66 and I do think a LB was a need.

So CB, S, G, LB - all good and need positions.

Not thrilled about the Day 1 trade down at all but who cares we got good players.  Also, both trades with division rivals is kind of taboo.
With further reflection, like first 2 picks do not like the second two for different reasons.  Overall, Kwesi has been "schooled" and other GM's are pouncing.

  1. Happy with the Cine pick, not with the way the trade went down. Should've gotten more compensation out of it, or at least not given up the 2nd.
  2. LOVED getting Booth at 42. I would've been happy with him in the first. Cine + Booth are great additions to the secondary, which doesn't look bad now at all.
  3. Ingram seems like a decent lineman, but I don't know much about him except for hearing about the allegations. That would have given me serious pause, but I'll defer to the team and the due diligence they performed. At the very least there's some serious competition for the interior O-Line spots.
  4. Asamoah seems like a sub-package player/Special teamer for me. Maybe if he develops he can eventually be a replacement for EK (seem similar, at least from a physical standpoint) but for now he looks like a good depth piece.
  5. Not happy with trading w/ GB, but the comp was good and hey, they probably could have gotten the same player even if we didn't trade with them. One positive is that I read GB wanted to trade w/ us to get Watson at the end of the first, so at least Kwesi was smart enough to wait until the 2nd so that GB can't have a 5th year option for him.

when the division rival wr’s score againest us you can thank Kam.
I thought that we was looking for more of a thumper at lb. Asomoah certainly isn’t that being undersize.
Booth has been injured through out his career.

The guard  situation I could see that we need a few more competing against each other   =)

I could have done without the child molester being drafted

Count me as not a fan of the draft so far.  Only bright spot is getting Cine, but the way we arrived there is bogus.  Giving up our 2nd rounder in that trade was brutal. Not disappointed with a move down, but getting "knee-capped" by the Lions?  Booth - eh, we shall see - lots of injury history.  As for our Round 3 reach, even without all of red flags attached, well, that earns a WTF!  Through through three rounds, it sure seems to have the feel that they were not very well prepared for draft scenarios.  The old adage, "we shall see" certainly always applies, but so far, I think our draft is about a C- at best, maybe D+.
