KOC Combine Comments Concerning Kwasi
#11
Good news for Ham is he’s an easy restructure. I don’t think they even need to discuss it with him.

At first C.J. seemed to be a certain cut based on the lack of a fullback in the offense O'Connell was potentially bringing to the Vikings.  He will most certainly be a restructure but he also could add an interesting element to the offense they will run under KOC.  The Vikings switched him to fullback but as a senior in college he ran for 1,097 yards and caught 39 passes for 431 yards.  Just think he could be a valuable addition to the offense, but at a reduced contract, and maybe was not fully utilized under the old regime.

Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said there’s a lot to like with the team’s offensive line, noting the talent at tackle. Asked specifically about Garrett Bradbury’s inconsistencies, O’Connell said he liked Bradbury’s athleticism.
What is he supposed to say? Yeah he gets driven back into the QB's lap on third and long?

CJ has kind of remade his body since his days at Augie, he was always a pretty stout little guy but he has really worked to make his body into more of a battering ram and less of a RB.   You even see it in his limited carries,  not much for elusivness but not really a big enough guy to just steam roll either.  I saw him his last year in SFalls working out and remember being impressed,  but he was quit a bit different back then.  It would be great if there was a role for him but I just dont know what that would be except that of a very willing lead blocker that can catch the ball pretty good.

 Lofl!

I just wish Gomer could have told em the truth; He'd probably rather go to the dance with Andy or Barney as his date.

Ahhh...That would have blown-up the screen back in 64 wouldn't it?

True, but he does it gracefully and with athleticism rarely seen at the Center position at least at the NFL level.

I think unless KOC and the new OL coach think they can solve the Bradbury puzzle, and that maybe their offense can mitigate his weakness, Bradbury will be traded to a wide-zone team with a quick-hitting passing game and a more mobile QB. He would have a decent amount of value for a team like that.
