'A high ranking evaluator', lmao. Man, we still got a long way to go until the Draft. I don't believe much of what I'm reading right now.

But I did mention this quality about JJM months ago: he's Joe Cool under pressure.

I think we see this dynamic every year, a great example was the Josh Allen draft, not only did Mayfield and Darnold go ahead of him at 1 and 3, but right below him at 10 was Josh Rosen, someone who before the draft was no where projected to go that high, I was actually surprised both Darnold and Rosen came out that year and thought they both should have gone back for their senior years, so it was shocking to see them both in the top 10.  I hope this is true as it could really be beneficial to the Vikes if it potentially pushes down one of the top 3.
The dynamics with Maye actually remind me a lot of when Dan Marino got drafted, Marino had a down senior season and consequently had a lot of guys pass him up.  Not saying Maye is in Marino's category, as I think he is the best ever in terms of a pure passer, but think he is also being undervalued based on not having as good of a year.

crazy weird that we dont have a starting QB but the team is getting so much love from pundits.  Speaks pretty well for KAM and KOC as far as being a safe landing spot for young players...despite the lack of attention shown to date for IOL.

It's about the surround. There isn't another team in the NFL who can offer a rookie the offensive supporting cast he would get in Minnesota. Among the teams who need a QB, no one is even close. Here's another take on that belief but expanded upon....

they cant seem to catch Jori with a good look, bad to start worse to finish  =)

the surround is a good thing,  but that doesnt really mean much if the QB isnt brought along right,  the signing of Darnold gets a lot of shit,  the notion of a throw away season pisses fans off,  but finally it looks like the GM and Coach are making moves to create a future for this franchise and for the betterment of whoever they pick for a starting QB.  The targets are nice,  but way the rook is brought along IMO will have more bearing on his success.  ( as long as they fix that center position and get the pocket front  door closed )
