Would you want him as your QB?

There has to be a happy medium somewhere. There has to be a qb that can scramble somewhat. As well as a competent or average OL. There has to be a qb that can work with the OL and vice versa. It can't be all one or the other. And the coaches have to coach to their strengths. They are so not there yet.

You mean like Pat Mahomes?  Very mobile, but the crazy highlights are always about his pinpoint accuracy.

He is an absolute phenomenon and a dream for a qb. But the match of qb and OL as well as coaching at present is not it. I know Cousins has a couple of seasons left. Maybe with different coaching who knows. But it feels like the current combination of coaching and qb as well as OL has hit the wall.

I went with Mahomes cuz I like him.  Can't stand the seahawks or the pack and Rodgers is the most unlikable as all of them.  But yes, mobility with accuracy and eyes down the field.

And to think that the Vikings had the original Mobile QB - you would have thought that we- of all teams - would have seen the value of that and from our history and would have drafted someone with those traits. But then again, maybe Fran was just elusive as hell behind the pocket, and not a threat to rip off 30 yard runs multiple times in a game.

There's mobile, then there's a running QB. Those in the second category like Lamar J. I take a pass. They leave themselves vulnerable to big shots and bad decisions. Mahomes is in a rare position where he can chuck it up 70 yds. and Hill is able to track it down, Kelce will bail him out, and he has a decent running game to boot.

The odds of having that many unique weapons is staggering. Missing 1 or more of those facets and that QB is RGIII/Cam Newton with a short career.

We all like Teddy. But was Teddy ever going to deliver the team where it wanted to go ultimately? Not in my opinion. He's an inspiring kid and a good leader, no doubt about it. I continue to root for the guy.
