It didn't work for me either. I had to search using the status identifier in the link. The comments are filled with people saying 'See, she supports riots!'

Of course she has, you always claim straw-man arguments, but then use them repeatedly.  Wow, you are one myopic dude, do you ever reflect and consider there is more than one point of view .  Just cause you don't agree with someone doesn't make them the epitome of all that is wrong in your world.

Why do you hate a diverse America, you seem really afraid of something.
You have made blatantly false statements about my opinions and posts on this forum.  Stop lying dude.  Man up, be honest.

Sure, I am aware that there are multiple points of view and appreciate/celebrate variety of thought.  Mostly, but not impressed with rioting, assaulting police, and looting, YMMV.  You only think I am myopic because I don't believe in the same things as you.  That's on you bro, not me.

Here's what you said
8/25/2020I watched both conventions.  There were a number of talks that I really liked at the RNC.  Some key ones were:

Monday: Nikki Haley and Tim Scott, both were excellent, would be a good team for 2024

Tuesday: Daniel Cameron, Abby Johnson, Melania Trump, and Nick Sandmann

Wednesday: Mike Pence, Kristi Noem, Daniel Crenshaw, Elise Stefanik, Madison Cawthorn, Jack Brewer, and Burgess Owens

Thursday.  Ben Carson, Tom Cotton, Rudy Giuliani Ann Dorn, Alice Johnson, Carl and Marsha Mueller

Then you got called on it

I thought the DNC presentations were typical for their point of
view as frequently expressed in the media.  I listened mostly to the
main speakers during the evening presentations, not the total
convention.  Being a conservative, they were not likely to change my
opinion just as the liberals on this forum were not likely to change
their opinion during the RNC.
You started by saying
  1. "I watched both conventions..." and
then listed what you liked about the RNC (with quite a number of other
speakers meaning you watched both main and other speakers)
  2. When asked what you liked about the DNC you then stated...
  3. "I
listened mostly to the main speakers during the evening presentations"
so you technically did not watch both conventions. You watched the RNC
convention and some parts of the DNC convention
Anyway like you said "...[b]eing a conservative, they were not likely to change my opinion".

Food for thought...
Why
would one make a conclusion about a convention one did not mostly watch
and attempt to compare two conventions when one mostly watched just the
RNC - the preferred convention (which in itself is not a problem I
should add)?
Just wondering out loud
As far as Straw man arguments, you mix and confuse ad hominem and false dilemma arguments with what you are trying to express.  Use words you know the meaning of you won't look so bad.

Seriously A!?  Never said I watched all of it, you inferred that I did but you are error, still 0 for 4 dude.

Here's a link to the televised portion of the DNC, note 9 to 11 EST, 7 to 9 MST.  Stations went longer discussing reactions.  Proves I watched "the convention by watching televised portion"

@IDVikingfan, considering the craziness we're all in right now, you might not expect this. I actually thank you for posting that tweet. It gave us the opportunity to at least discuss it. I absolutely question the motives of the author of the message. From watching it, it's apparent that it was intended to paint 'the other side' in a negative light. Earlier, I called it misleading. It was really a flat-out lie. I likely never would have seen it if were not posted here. Afterwards, I did see James Woods post it with a statement that Harris is "promoting riots and mayhem".

Maybe if we check sources and consider the intent, we can fight through and communicate.

By the way, I watched quite a bit of the RNC. Well, I watched 3.5 evenings of it. I mentally tuned out on Trump's speech. Good grief it went on for an hour. And he kept describing things that didn't seem to be, or rather were not, based in truth. That's how I felt watching most of the convention. I mean, listening to the message below, the coronavirus came, was defeated and is now gone.

So let me get this straight....

You got me there.  I did not source the quote.  Has Kamala denounced the rioting and looting?  The killing of a trump supporter in Portland last night by antifa?

At the bold...
You admit to you not sourcing the quote after you got caught (laziness or misleading choose any) then post this right after?

Well this is how it works, he claims he didn't watch the DNC convention after asserting he had.  Then presents cherry picked snippets about democrats, but most likely not putting in the effort other than re-posting crap form his buds on Facebook or the twittersphere, intellectually lazy and dishonest
Wow, Al, nice strawman.  I told you watched the evening portion of the DNC.  I never said I watched the whole thing.  You are lying.  You are the perfect example of intellectually lazy and dishonest, you are 0-4 with your strawman AL.  All demonstratably false in this forum.

At the bold...
You called him out (falsely I should state) for something you literally just did. Do you see the irony here?

You just can't make this stuff up... the lies people tell here even when their posts say exactly the opposite

Takes a lot of gall to look into a camera and just flat lie to the American people.

I'm convinced this administration, this campaign, has decided that lying is probably the best way forward. They can't tell the truth. And they know there are at least 50 or so million voters who either don't know they're being lied to, or don't care. I think more in the last group.
