Exactly how much KFC is he planning on buying in retirement?

I was friends with Jon Bones Jones - after about 3 or 4 wins in UFC and was being promoted as the next best thing.  I gave him similar advice when he moved out west to train - when we said goodbyes.  

Forget the speech and grammar.  Good for him to speak out to young black men in the NFL.

I compare his message and potential outcome vs. Kaepernick.

Exactly. We can agree to disagree on Kap as I believe there is more than one way to land a message. And their messages are quite different.

What we agree on is the speech and grammar doesn't matter here. I'd bet it made sense to his target audience. And that's a great thing.
