You are right,  I apologize for my offensive post.  I didn't mean to edit your quote of me,  I was in the wrong post as I intended to delete my original post.

I never said Hughes was good or even better than Hill.

I mean hes going to have to play next year. We cant afford anyone else. Guess thats why you dont draft a 4’ tall CB who weighs 150#s soaking wet.

Seems like a wasted 1st round pick to me.
I'm not Jimmy... but, yes: he's good.  He's not a good kick returner.  But I assume that you're not criticizing that aspect of his play.
He is too small to play outside and I think Mac is as good or better in the slot.  Hope he proves me wrong.

Hughes will be fine in time, although he likely wont hold up outside in this league. Hernandez was the right pick there, who is not all world but excellent in pass pro and brings badly needed toughness, also Elf was a decent Center, so that set us back again spending another first rounder on C.

Hernandez has good lateral movement for his size but in no way whatsoever would he have been a fit in Kubiak's ZBS. Time to move on from this fallacy once and for all. Besides, it's LG killing this team, not RG. And Elf was easily the lowest rated Center in the League last year by a country mile.

Give the kid some time. He may not be ready yet, just like Rhodes, Mac, Trae didn't light it up their first couple of years either.
