A large chunk of my employer's customer base is independent truckers, and a huge number are Nigerian, Somalian, as well as a great many Ukrainians, Indians, and people from the tropics.  I never lack for outsider perspectives when we're talking, and there is a HUGE central question from most of the POC customers:

"why do well-off American white women hate Americans so badly?".

Admittedly, I have to fight massive laughter spasms every time, because it's come up regularly for a few years, now...but they honestly don't understand, as they're buying parts/service to keep their self-owned businesses literally running, why these women hate a place that's infinitely better than the war-torn and/or starving countries they've come from.

They're also wondering what kinds of idiots think that defunding Seattle's police (300 officers have left in a bit over a year), in the midst of skyrocketing crime, is a good idea.

I have to answer that it's what happens to many American cities that have generations of unchecked democrat "leadership".  Hey, facts are facts.

They ask why anyone votes for those fools, and I have no answers, whatsoever.

I don't understand this. I grew up in Michigan taking a Hunter's Safety course to be certified with guns to get a hunting license for deer, etc. No training or permits in Texas? WTF.

You likely had to take the hunt safe course due to you being a minor.   Its that way in most states.  My son grew up with a gun in his hand but still had to take the same course before he could get his first deer tag.  If he had been 16 (18?) that would not have been required and I would guess that its the same way in Michigan but I can't say for sure.

I am all for gun rights,  but I agree that the constitutional carry laws go to far IMO.

Yes, I shot all kinds of guns as a kid before the Hunter's Safety test and my Dad taught me properly. But carry laws are a different animal completely.
