and since we have effective treatments, perhaps it is time to get on the bureaucrats that are restricting these cheap effective treatments of a deadly disease.
if those treatments are OTC or otherwise widely available... who needs a bureaucrat to get involved at all?  but it still needs to be done in a manner that is able to be tracked and monitored.  I have heard of people that make claims that they took drug X or what ever for their covid and were fine,  but yet they have no detectable antibodies when tested... so did they ever have covid to begin with or a nasty other cold or virus?  I know a lot of people seem to believe that covid was in my area 6 months or more before it was detected here,  but as i have pointed out,  that makes no sense since once it finally did hit here hard we definitely saw the results as the hospitals filled up as did the funeral homes for a few months and then things subsided,  if it had actually come through prior to that time we would have seen a similar crunch on the ICU and mortuaries would we?
They aren't available OTC, but should be made widely available if this is as dangerous as the politicians and media say.

As far as whether those miracle recoveries were covid or not, well that has been the question all along.

and with the hospital crunch, not sure the media driven fear didn't make that worse.  People were so afraid, often they didn't go to the hospital until it was too late.  How many people avoided going to regular checkups for heart, cancer, other issues out of fear.  Know a few EMT/firemen and they all had stories about people having a stroke or something and refusing to go to the hospital out of fear.

Yeah, IMO the media has plenty of blood on its hands.
I think there are a lot of parties with blood on their hands from this covid mess,  the depth of which we will likely never know.

The Cost Of Being Unvaccinated Just Went Up -- Most Insurers Are Passing Costs Back To Patients As Covid Hospitalizations Soar
With highly effective coronavirus vaccines available and hospital admissions soaring, many Covid-19 patients are facing bigger bills as most insurance companies have ended waivers on out-of-pocket costs that they introduced earlier in the pandemic, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, a cost that will be primarily borne by the unvaccinated people more likely to require hospital treatment.

This is admittedly a huge part of the equation...

But there is another element to this - COVID Sick Pay from employers.

Guaranteed to be gone soon if its not already. Many companies ended it back in Late Spring/Early Summer.

I totally disagree with Sticky.  Idaho is an awesome place to live.  Awesome hunting and fishing.  Low summer humidity, no mosquitos, moderate winters, great people, plenty of opportunities in a wide variety of areas.  I personally could never move back to Minnesota.

Its 90% white. 27% LDS Mormons (don't get me started). The state's vaccination rate is the lowest in the United States. Idaho's panhandle has a long history of radical right wing groups. Then there's this:

I'm not talking the geography. I'm talking WHO lives there. I don't live in Minnesota or am from there.

Oregon, now Oregon is one spot I was really thinking we'd luv. Some of our dearest friends moved to Boulder and we're definitely going to give that consideration, if we leave midwest instead of doing the snowbird thing
