Draft analyst/ex-#Vikings S Corey Chavous says there's 3 very top tackles not just 2 in Penei Sewell & Rashawn Slater “(Christian Darrisaw's) an outstanding prospect. He’s one of the top-ranked players on our board. If (Vikings) could get him at No 14 that would be grand larceny"

Still, if i know the Vikings like I think i know the Vikings, they draft for need and they draft for fit. They would take Sewell or Slater if available, but the prototypical need/fit player for the Vikings is Christian Darrisaw. Run blocker, check. Outside zone reach blocker, check. Pass blocker, check. Requisite tackle length, check. Darrisaw's only flaw is his lack of "finish." He needs a fire lit under him. But I say put him in a room with Dru Samia and he'll come out with his hair on fire. Maybe the best thing Samia does for this franchise.

Draft analyst and former #Vikings safety Corey Chavous offers this about Cincinnati tackle James Hudson, whom he identified as a possible third-round pick. “If the Vikings got him, he’d start right away,’’ Chavous said.

Vikings would be lucky to get Darrisaw @ 14 - a no brainer if he's there.
Should elicit an even bigger smile from RS than Rosenbaum could. Leatherwood is vastly under-rated, I think he's going to be just fine on Sundays. I wouldn't take him over Darrisaw, and I'm no draftnik, but I know what my eyes told me watching Bama all the time. |
