I agree the optics dont look great and we Americans dont like anything that smells of freedom of speech being deprived or gun removal.
That said, have we really reached the point in this country - with The President - where it was necessary to maintain national security to shut it down?

The real uproar is that tech was forced to have to make a decision like this for the security of our country. Not the decision that they made.

We are going to hear more about how POTUS considered using the military to get his way in the elections. This is what precipitated all 10 living Secretaries of Defense to issue their warnings a week or 2 ago.
These corporations/private companies are also looking at any possible liability in regard to the messages that people are posting. They want to protect themselves. The traitors are leaving the trail of evidence online though and the FBI is going to be looking at that quite closely.

i dont disagree and regards to the POTUS, they have no need for social media accounts. Trump should have had his twitter shut down from the beginning. You are the President, when you have something to say, the world is waiting.
