OT: Twins Fans...
Sling TV gets rid of Fox Sports North, so I loaded YouTube TV today to once again start watching Twins baseball.  Wow, did I catch a nice win.  Way to go big man, Sano!

Tough games all week, and what a great way to start it out - Skol Twins!

In the old days he would have struck out! Twins still have reliever problems, but they are a good team. It's a nice change.

The big kid has really turned a corner in the last month at the plate.  Twins patience is finally paying off.

Did anybody else catch his post game interview?  Sano was absent from the dugout until the 9th inning when he was called in to pinch hit if necessary.  They asked him where he was and  his reply,  in the clubhouse batting cage working on hitting sliders....the pitch he sent deep over the center field wall... a slider of course.

Twins lose 1 1/2 games off their lead in one day... lose to Braves again while Indians sweep double header from Rangers.  The Twins are now 4.5 games behind the Astros, 5 games behind the Yankees and only 5.5 games from missing the playoffs entirely.  These next 4 games with the Indians might decide the rest of the season.

Well that was a weird 10 days.  Lose the division lead at home, then get it back thanks to a road sweep of the Rangers and the Yankees slowing down Cleveland.

Twins are now 40-22 on the road and 36-26 at home.  Are we sure the upcoming home stand is a good thing? :p

It's been a weird year overall in the AL. Baseball generally has the most parity from top to bottom of the pro sports in win pct.  A couple teams at/above .600, a bunch around .500, and a maybe 2 under .400.  Not this year. The Twins' 76-48  .613 win % is only 3rd in the AL and 5 games from missing the playoffs entirely (Oakland is 6th in the AL at 71-53).  And then the bottom falls out and crashes into a crowded cellar:

Contenders
NYY 83-43
HOU 79-46
MIN 76-48
CLE 74-51 WC1
TB   73-52 WC2
OAK 71-53
________________
Pretenders
BOS  67-59 (trying to make a move, but they have to jump 2 teams, not just one)
LAA  62-64
TEX   60-64
------------------------
See You Next March
CHI 55-68
SEA 52-73
TOR 52-75
KC   44-80
BAL 39-85
DET 37-84

FYI, the Twins have 6 more games with the Indians.

The starting rotation is just as suspect.  I said back in may and june when people were clamoring to blow the war on a top shelf pitcher that we needed more than 1 or 2 pitchers to have a rotation and bullpen built for playoff baseball.

Nice win, Twins!  Viking season is upon us,
and our beloved Twins are definitely more than just being relevant.  The
Indians might still take us, but it ain't going to be easy sitting 6.5 back in early Sept.   B)

SKOL Twins!

Can't wait to see Twins vs. Indians this Sunday from the Target Field stands!  Sure wasn't expecting this when I got those tickets back in March B)

Basically the Twins need to split the 6 Indians games and otherwise just not do a faceplant.  Their last 13 games after the final Indians series are vs. the White Sox (3), Tigers (3), and Royals (7).
