Vikings.com highlights Thielen being on the All-Cut team by The Athletichttps://www.vikings.com/news/lunchbreak-vikings-bears-listed-most-important-game-2019
Can't read the entire thing because it is a pay article, but here is what I found interesting.
The Vikings kept Greg Jennings, Jerome Simpson, Cordarrelle
Patterson, Jarius Wright and Joe Webb as receivers on their initial
53-man roster back in 2013. Since then, Thielen has 293 receptions for
3,897 yards and 19 touchdowns — between 50 and 60 percent of the
combined totals for those other receivers Minnesota kept on its 2013
roster. Thielen ranks sixth among all NFL players in receiving yards
over the past two seasons.
Quite the murderers row they kept over Thielen. I don't quite get the 50-60 of the combined totals stat, and don't fault the coaches for stashing AT on the practice squad, but man, how sad was that era of WRs? Seems like the Vikings have been feast or famine. Either having 1 or 2 of the best (or 3 Deep) in the league, to having nobody that scares any DB.
