With the No. 3 receiver battle starting to materialize, it looks as if Chad Beebe and Jordan Taylor both have moved ahead of Laquon Treadwell.
Beebe and Taylor both worked with the first-team offense Friday while Treadwell didn’t. Treadwell, taken No. 23 in the 2016 draft, is entering the final year of his contract.
“That spot is wide open,” Beebe said. “I always love competition. It makes me better. It makes everybody else better. Just going to come out here every day and work as hard as I can and let everything else fall into place.”While the 5-foot-10 Beebe is the prototypical slot receiver, the 6-5 Taylor brings a much different element.
“It’s very competitive,” Taylor said. “We just come out and try to get better every day. We all have a positive attitude.’’
