or is this where Spielman moves to COO and Paton takes the GM role?   Honestly I am not sure what the hierarchy of the front office is.  The GM is pretty much the top of the football operations team,  but where does that sit in terms of the COO,  and all the other suits?

Not a bad gig. Overseeing 12 teams as opposed to 1. Big 10 is right at the top as power conferences go. Maybe only behind SEC as far as national following. Pretty prestigious I'd say. Good for him.

It's all in how you look at it. It's also about what he wants and is looking for. Maybe he sees the college game as a new adventure or a way to get a different experience.
