That is about the worst take I have seen on that hit....that tackle was about as close to what they teach now as possible.  He put his face mask into the arm area without dropping his head.  Wasn't to high, wasn't to low and didn't use the crown of helmet.

I will be curious to see the reactions here if Barr is a double digit (or close) sack guy next year.

Zimmer's fault or Ricky's fault? The Purple Pollyanna's gotta have SOMEONE to blame. I'll certainly be watching!

P.S.  I think if the Jets utilize him primarily as a pass rusher, he will post @ 10 sacks. That's the MAGIC number for a 16 game season, right?

They get a pass rusher? That remains to be seen.

Barr may see an up swing in sacks,  but that will simply be from significantly more opportunities and .maybe a desire to prove himself again.  IMO his ability to defeat blocks is still poor and his overall effectiveness will not increase until he becomes more versatile with his moves and hands.
