No Timetable For Murray's Return
#1
Latavius Murray - RB - VikingsLatavius Murray (ankle, active/PUP) said there is still no timetable for his return.

Murray would only commit to being ready for the regular season, and coach Mike Zimmer said he does not know when the running back will be able to practice. Despite some optimism at the start of camp, it sounds like Murray still has a long way to go before he is cleared. With Murray's health up in the air, second-rounder Dalvin Cook is the clear favorite for the starting job.

WOW - this really opens the door for Cook.

Wow is right. Imagine how frustrating this would be if we hadn't drafted Cook.

But Spielman knew he needed this surgery. It seems a dumb signing thru the prism of right now.

There is a lot of pressure to hurry up and sign players at the start of free agency. Maybe they overlooked or flat out missed something with the injury.

I dont believe there was much talk about the injury until after we signed him. Once he was in purple, news came out about us "knowing the whole time."  ... its just never really been an upfront situation.

Its like buying something valuable used on Ebay. You feel the pressure, win the item, get it in the mail and discover it looks MINT! So you plug it in; surprise! it doesnt work.

He's not endearing himself to Zimm, thats for sure. But I have high hopes for him. The season is a grind and Dalvin is just a rook (albeit a special one).

We'll need all the RB's we can get...
