If Kirk Cousins is a second-tier QB, the Vikings will go far

I would say they are way off even discussing Cousins in Tier 3. He was easily Tier 2 last year without a very good team around him. In my opinion he’s as good as Matt Ryan right now. Actually they seem like similar players to me. Tier 2 guys with flahes of more. Roethlisberger is a Tier 2 guy in my opinion.

Personally I think the Vikings made a great decision getting Cousins. He’s a legit franchise QB which rarely come available and his best years are ahead. He is coming off of three straight seasons of high level play and started every game. The Redskins wanted to keep him but it sounds like the feeling was not mutual. That’s the risk a team takes when they tag a guy twice.

The way I see it, Cousins is undervalued by the media and many fans. I have very high expectations for him and expect he’ll be around for years to come.
It's almost human nature to diminish what the "other guy" did to improve himself, especially if you wanted to do the same thing. I think fans and media, and even some executives, are bitter about the fact that Cousins listened to only one team. You should've heard Denver fans and radio go on and on about Cousins. There were radio ads written as open letters to Cousins begging him to come to Denver. For weeks all they talked about was Cousins, his three straight 4,000 yard seasons, etc., etc. There were weeks long analyses of his numbers and how great he would fit with DT and Sanders.

Then, when it was discovered that Cousins was only interested in Minnesota, he became the most overrated player in the NFL. Even Horseface lied to our faces that Keenum was their #1 choice. #1 given the money? OK, maybe, but not your #1 choice. Can't remember who it was, but another team was publicly angry that Cousins didn't even listen to their offer. Anyway, I'm sure a lot of this is reflected in the survey.

sounds like a chicken shit grading system to down grade any QB that as a decent run game supporting cast.---You could all world but if A)coaches want to be conservative and grind out a lead. or B) you just have an exceptional back that eats up touches---you're all of a sudden not creme de la creme.

I say wait a season to grade him and analyze the team as a whole not just a positional bit.
