With Sloter on the team I don't think you draft a QB this offseason. He is your developmental guy.
Unless he is your QB2 and only retain 1 of Case, Sam or Teddy.
Yep that's a possibility. I am not sure Sloter is ready to be the #2 guy though. He has talent but he is raw too.
He is raw. One more year of seasoning with lots of taking direct snaps from under center. Hopefully, he can be QB2 in 2019, that would be a big accomplishment.

It's still a little early to say until you see Bridgewater. His contract demands also come into play a little bit as well. Similar to a potential extension for Sam last off-season, you can't lock yourself into big money until you know what you're buying. Ideally you can get Teddy on a contract similar to Andy Dalton's (significant AAV with limited year to year guarantees) with a lower cap number in year 1 to massage Case at $4.5-$6M into next years plans. Backup QB contract don't typically have large guarantees in year 2 so you'd effectively have Case on a 1yr deal with an option for yr 2 depending on Bridgewater's performance.

assuming Case's game doesnt go to shit in the next month,  do you think you get Case to come back here for High QB2 money,  or do you think there will be a market for him in a bridge QB1 roll or as an outright starter on another team?

look at all the QB2s that got starter money this past year.  Keenum has shown more then all of them. Why wouldnt there be a team ready to pay up.

thats kind of where I am at.  I see Case getting 10+ per year for 2 or 3 years coming off this years performance... if for no other reason than to hold the reigns for a rookie QB getting drafted this year.

All it takes is one team (look at Mike Glennon) but I think the idea he is going to get blown away with money is somewhat exaggerated. If you look at the current QB market there aren't many guys who are getting paid to be a bridge at starter money. Like I said, its early. But if MN would be willing to give him 2-3 years the term may be more attractive. Its a fair deal for both sides.

The most likely way I see Case getting taken away at this point is if Shurmur gets a HC job where there isn't a viable QB in place. Case has system familiarity and could easily serve as the bridge and would likely get paid more based off this year since its an apples-to-apples comparison. Bradford also could have potential as a bridge QB if Shumur goes too.
