Coach Hue Jackson named rookie DeShone Kizer the Week 8 starter against the Vikings.
Kizer has been yanked from the game in each of his past two starts and was benched in Week 6 in favor of Kevin Hogan, who was a total disaster himself. The Browns have nowhere else to turn; Jackson isn't a fan of Cody Kessler because of his size and lack of arm strength, and Hogan proved he's not any better than Kizer. Kizer can't stop turning the ball over, especially in the scoring area. The Vikings are an elite streaming option despite being across the pond in London.

Hopefully he finds a nice pub to hang out at until 1 in the morning...

DE Myles Garrett is also probably out of this game for the Browns as he's in concussion protocol.

Myles Garrett - DL - Browns Browns DE Myles Garrett has been placed in the league's concussion protocol.
Garrett showed up to the facility on Tuesday with concussion symptoms and is now in the protocol, putting his status for Sunday morning's game in London in question. Garrett debuted in Week 5 and has at least one sack in each game he's been active. On top of that, Garrett has been nails versus the run.

Kessler has always been that way. Probably the weakest arm in the NFL. Interesting that he still has a job. Interesting also that the Browns believe there are no bigger, stronger street free agents who could at least upgrade that 3rd QB spot.
