Matt LaFleur 'coaching for his job' for the rest of '25
#1
That's the rumor. High expectations and a middling overrated QB don't mix. Part of the issue he's such a redass....does more complaining and bitching on the sidelines of any coach in the NFL.

The Packers always go through this lull in the season and turn it around by Thanksgiving. I'd be surprised if that wasn't also the case this year

I agree....The gods have smiled on them in December.

I just dont believe LaFleur is really in any worry of job security with their shareholders anyways Wink

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs divulged after Monday night's 10-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles that Philly knew what play Green Bay was running on a crucial fourth down late in the fourth quarter.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Jacobs noted that the Eagles defense made it clear they had diagnosed the play before the ball was snapped, saying, "Fourth-and-1, they called out our play. We ran it like four times, they called it out."

Gotta love some players commenting about the play calling.

When the Packers hired the Offensive Coordinator from a middling-to-bad Tennessee Titans team, I thought it would be a dumpster fire for them. To his credit, LaFleur has lasted a long time and has been at the very least, a worthy hire.

GB will probably figure things out and make the playoffs, but unless things go truly down the drain for them I think LaFleur is safe for another year regardless.

He's a pretty good coach. I hope they do fire him!

I think if anything that's more damning to Love.  A little bit on LaFleur for being basic, but if the DLine is calling out the exact play you are running, the QB should take a timeout or call an audible.

Wouldn't mind seeing them regress to the mean a little bit.  It'd do me good to see them struggle with a bottom 10 coach for a little while.

It was 4th down, not sure if they had any more timeouts.  Word was, this was the 4th time they had run that play, so the blame is pointed towards the coach.
