Ravens @ Vikings

Baltimore's defense isn't what it's been in years past. 27th in overall defense and the pass defense has been especially porous. We are going to be able to put some points on the board and can McCarthy outduel Lamar? I think he can, especially playing at home. I like our chances in this game.

We can win this game, but part of the reason the Ravens defense was so bad early on was injuries. They're healthier now than they were just a few weeks ago. Not saying we can't beat them, but there's a reason they rank so low in season-long rankings. It's actually a little like us. I think you have to throw out the rankings and look at how each defense performed recently, and in both cases, much better.

IMO the Vikings lose this game last year. They didn't have the personnel or muscle to match Ravens.

Hargreave, Mason, Allen were brought to Minnesota for this type of game.

If Mason gets 25+ carries Vikings win.

I suspect The offensive game plan is gonna look identical to a Michigan wolverine game when JJ was there. Run heavy and passing only in high leverage situations.

Gonna be good.

I disagree, no way Mason gets 25 carries. JJ should be able to put up some real numbers in this game, if not we lose. IMO this game comes down to JJ's reads and accuracy.

I hope I don't eat my words, and you are correct about the injuries, but they don't have an elite pass rusher in their front seven. We should be able to protect McCarthy and get after it in the passing game. I really think whichever QB makes the most big plays in this game, wins. I like our chances.

Everyone I see on TV is picking the Ravens. All they talk about is Lamar Jackson. Just like last week they all picked the Lions.

Running back Aaron Jones has said he expects to play through an AC joint sprain in his shoulder, but he is still listed questionable to play Sunday. Jones’ reps were limited again during Friday’s practice.

Safety Theo Jackson progressed through the concussion protocol as he was upgraded to a full participant in practice, shedding the red, no-contact jersey he wore Thursday. He also is listed as questionable.

Left tackle Christian Darrisaw (knee) does not have an injury designation. He returned to practice Friday and was a full participant.

With only center Ryan Kelly (concussion) unavailable for the starting offensive line, this marks the first time since Week 3 vs. the Bengals that four of the five blockers don’t carry injury designations. But the Vikings have had at least one starting offensive lineman either on injured reserve, listed out or listed questionable entering all nine games so far.

It's not who you play, but....

The #Ravens have a clean injury report ahead of their game on Sunday against the #Vikings, per head coach John Harbaugh.

Yeah, I was wondering why the injury report didn't show the Ravens.  Then I saw that was why.

The football gods dont have much affinity for the Vikings this year lol! This is exactly what the Olde Trapper preached for decades.

I think this is a very difficult game for us to win and USB has not exactly been a house of horrors for visiting teams.

Not impossible, but I dont trust this version of the Vikings to be at at their best most Sundays. Just feels off to me, the puzzle pieces havent fallen into place easily.

Maybe the back 1/2 of the year will be different? I'm open to that as fan.

Gets back to (for me at least) seeing the development of JJM.

Gonna be good.

Largest number of snaps by a single back in a game is 16 so far.

I'm imagining the offensive gameplan is going to look very similar to the detroit gameplan, just focusing on being aware of where Hamilton is and being more physical.
