Ravens @ Vikings

I'll tell you why we are going to win this game. Baltimore's defense isn't what it's been in years past. 27th in overall defense and the pass defense has been especially porous. We are going to be able to put some points on the board and can McCarthy outduel Lamar? I think he can, especially playing at home. I like our chances in this game.

Well I like the optimism.  Let's hope you're right. Smile

I have roughly the same expectations I had last week. I think we'll play well but likely lose close. I think McCarthy will look good again and so will the team. But the Ravens are a well coached team that's 3-5, gelling lately, and has a extra days rest since they last beat down Miami on TNF. It's a big ask for the Vikes.

Keep JJM upright and don't let Lamar and Henry run wild if possible, and go from there.

Man, this game gonna be agood game.

IMO the Vikings lose this game last year. They didn't have the personnel or muscle to match Ravens.

Hargreave, Mason, Allen were brought to Minnesota for this type of game.

If Mason gets 25+ carries Vikings win.

I suspect The offensive game plan is gonna look identical to a Michigan wolverine game when JJ was there. Run heavy and passing only in high leverage situations.

Gonna be good.

The one thing that does give me some pause though is that Atlanta game. That game keeps giving me the, "what the hell are we" vibe. I know we had some players out, but still, that's not a very good team and they made us look like the Jets in front of the home crowd. Could that be us again on Sunday? Absolutely. I'm hoping over the next couple weeks we get a better idea of just who we are as a football team because at this point...I have no idea.

Lamar is a different kinda cat...You gotta put alot more emphasis on contain vs sack. Teams in both conferences have tried and looked foolish doing it.

Can our front 7 play it smarter with him?

I dunno
