I feel like I’m watching a collective mental illness amongst our fanbase.
KOC says like 4 total sentences over the course of a month, and the media and the fanbase extrapolates that into whatever their deepest darkest fears are and pretends like that is reality. Coaches have to talk to the public. It’s in their best interest to not tell their opponents the truth, but they’re forced to tell you something. So they just say generic statements that leave things open ended. This is the ways its been forever. We can just accept it at face value. We don’t need to fill in the gaps, and make ourselves feel shitty in the process.

I don't personally read into anything, that's what the Twitter fanboys do and the media. But of course they do, right? ENGAGEMENT. When you know the game, its even more boring watching the sheep eat it up, as its all contrived controversy. And yeah, its mental as hell.

Kevin Seifert
@SeifertESPN · 7m In his weekly spot w/ @PAOnTheMic, Kevin O'Connell says: + Neither J.J. McCarthy (ankle) nor Carson Wentz (shoulder) are 100% + Sunday's QB won't be a secret + McCarthy "could" return this week if practice goes very well

The yikes is because I was psyched up to see McCarthy play and mentally prepared to watch him take any lumps. The yikes is because I'm hearing all about Wentz, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, Max Brosmer, and probably someone else by the time I finish typing this. I was ready for turnovers and sacks. I guess I wasn't ready for - looks around - whatever all this is haha. Above everything else I just hope once McCarthy gets back on the field, he can stay there.

I think fans just need to be patient, which is not how the world works these days. Im with you at the bold...Fair or not, I think he's on razors edge for being labeled as glass fragile. |
