Wanna watch a fun QB, Rocco Becht, Iowa State could be the next, Brock Purdy. Same team and coach and the kid has some good genes, 2nd gen. NFL Anthony Becht is his old man. Don't know but the young man seems to have that wining aura. I'm a homer, but he's good player and leader.

In the "which coach do I hate the most" bowl, I win either way in this Clemson vs LSU game

As a SD homer, don't take anything from this game, this is USD, they are the B team, although both of our teams are minor league, they can compete, but dont take a big win over either as some sort of accomplishment.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

FSU really took it to Alabama! That was a good game. Watching some of LSU/Clemson now, it's a close game but it's been sloppy.
I'm glad CFB stacked this weekend with some big matchups. Smart of them to take advantage of having the spotlight this weekend. Once NFL starts I do still watch college, but it's not my primary focus.

Keep an eye on Michigan true Freshman QB Bryce Underwood, he's going to be special.
I think you're seeing some of the top teams that have lost, like Alabama and Clemson, ok with it because its all about making the playoffs. Klubnik said as much. An early loss isn't the death knell it used to be so maybe the urgency isn't there like it should be. And Coach < Prime: 13-13 record at Colorado and 0-1 in Bowl games and they want to put a statue of him in Boulder, lol. Who he's dating is more interesting that his coaching career.

Wasn't basing it on that game, last year he really grew into the role. Yesterday was just a revenue gift to the neighbor kid and resting for next week. Last week they were in Ireland, yesterday was an on-field bye week. Locals got to work on the tailgating skills

I'm a 'Yote; my alma mater. State got a win. 'Yotes got a check. Both teams win.

In season losses are "different" now...All about making the playoffs for sure I think there are some lessons here as we prep for Wk1 of the NFL season. DL's will be ahead of the OL's and when in doubt? Bet the under the first couple weeks of the season. Vikings vs Bears might not be very pretty, could be a slobber-knocker type game (19-16). I was underwhelmed with Arch yesterday, but my gut says he's going to be just fine. That was a tough opener for anyone, especially someone who can still be labeled a greenhorn. Neither Nussmeir or Klubnik impressed last night. But man, some of the LSU and Clemson D guys would look good in Viking purple on Sunday next season. And Klubnik is supposedly rated highly coming out next year? Did I hear that right?

This was in reference to Alabama shitting the bed against Florida State. And he's right. Grit, determination and strong wills still win the day, but you have to find the talented kids that still have that fire after getting the bag. Lots of sloppy play this weekend, even by the winning teams. That's going to change moving forward. Probably the same for opening NFL weekend. |
