Vikings you are interested is seeing today....

In no particular order:
  • Levi Drake Rodriguez - They have plans for this kid, I think. Kept him on the ACTIVE ROSTER all year last year and he hardly played, didn't want to expose him to poaching. He's a big, high motor kid, I think he's got some underrated quickness and that's what the team saw in its raw form last year.
  • Tai Felton - Not sure how much they get from this guy this season, he seems more about next year. He's got a lot to learn, I think, but I love his speed and the size of the dawg in him. Once he stops drinking the from the fire hose, he's going to fit in with Jefferson and Addison extremely well, same type personality.
  • Donovan Jackson - Teammates already admiring his size and strength, and apparently he's got a Darrisaw-sized anchor that O'Neill called out which is really encouraging. Quick guys will probably give him problems until he learns, but he's going to be a pretty decent and consistent OG on this line. Can be relied on. IMO that's huge.
  • Yeah, we're all here to see JJ McCarthy: nothing left for me to add, everyone knows how I feel about this kid. It'll probably be uneventful, which I will gladly take.

No injuries, of course. I'm not a preseason fan, but its nationally televised so I'll be watching. Skol.

OL...that's it. IMO this teams success or failure starts there. If the OL, specifically the IOL doesn't show huge steps forward I dont see this team doing much this year. We have to be able to run the ball when they know we are going ro run it, and we need to do a better job of picking up inside blitzes and stunts in the pass game.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Agree on LDR. He's looked good in camp from what I've seen and is listed first on the depth chart after the starters, even before Redmond. I don't think that necessarily means much, but the Vikings clearly like his potential.

Jurgens. Kelly has $0 in guaranteed money next year. Do the Vikings think Jurgens is the future? We'll see.

D. Jackson. I think it's going to be a while before he's playing consistent football, but the anchor he's shown against Allen and Hargrave in the clips I've seen has been impressive.

Blackmon. In a big surprise, Okudah seems to have taken CB3 over Blackmon. But where Blackmon stands out is his run support. With no real tackling allowed in camp, this could be his chance to push for his job back.

Reichard and the punter competition. For obvious reasons.

JJ JJ JJ. How does he look under pressure. Jalen Milroe looked pretty good the other day. But he had zero patience in the pocket. Took off at every opportunity. I'm convinced on JJ's arm talent. I just want to see some poise, patience and discipline.

I think the team really likes Jurgens as their center next year or the year after. Kelly is a short timer, no doubt. He was brought in to both help McCarthy and Jurgens. Smart guy. He's going to be a Matt Birk type center for Minnesota IMO.

Okudah - all the talent to be the shut down CB we are lacking, hoping he turns it around and finally reaches his potential
Zemaiah Vaughn - have heard a lot of praise on him, good length speed and agility, the kind of guy preseason is made for
Theo Jackson - huge gamble extending him and letting Bynum go, understated story of preseason, need him to be legit
Felton - really hoping we hit on this 3rd round pick, not a lot of buzz on him so far
Kobe King - Bercich and Leber seem to love this kid and certainly trust their opinions of LBs
Gabriel Murphy - disappointment with not getting drafted and then an injury, really rooting for him to excel
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins - another rookie we have not heard much about, intriguing athlete who can play multiple positions
Levi Drake Rodriguez - Always rooting for this kid
JJM - definitely most excited to see 9 back on the field, he is a gamer, is always going to show up and bring it, no concerns about his play
