Yeah, agreed. And that will most likely happen this year. I'll be shocked if the Bears don't win 7-8 games. The Bears might be a year premature in giving Poles this extension however....a little bit of a head scratch there for me.

...which he has failed to do so far. But you're not wrong. Their situations were completely different and I'm sure that fact was part of the reason Poles was given his extension. He really DOES need more time. 

Still, some people tie themselves into knots trying to avoid giving KAM credit for anything, when results are the only thing that truly matter. The facts in the OP paint a pretty striking difference. Especially the coaching thing. KAM has hired one. He's the reigning COTY. Bears have had three over the same time period.

Yes, could be a good move for continuity sake.  They need some continuity if they want success.  IMO, I think it is the wrong choice, but GM contracts aren't a big deal to move on from.  If he doesn't work out, then they replace him.
