The way Darnold can do no wrong right now and the miraculous play yesterday with the scramble and TD and everything just clicking yesterday, reminded me of Keenum and the 2017 team that got on a roll. Obviously, Darnold is another level than Keenum was, but there just seems to be that magic there which was there with Keenum. Yesterday's game has me believing we are legit contender and maybe this is a team that can carry this wave of excellent play mixed with some magic and good fortune through the playoffs.

If we are aggressive on offense - aggressive does not mean triple reverse flea flicker statue of liberty nonsense - and do this all game long, not just when we are behind, then yes, we can compete with any team.

Yah, I can see that...And yah, Darnold is way more of a qb than Case was. That 17 team had a hella D though.
Their remaining schedule is tough!
Chicago
at Seattle
GB
at Detroit
Can they win 3 of those? Sure...Not convinced they will though.

I think we've all been saying the same thing recently....maybe we'll go 2-3 in this stretch or I'd be 'happy' if we could get to X wins and the team has had a 5 and 6 game winning streak separately, lol. I keep thinking we can't keep winning game after game, yet that's what the team does. I dont know what to expect, but I'm having fun being pleasantly surprised.

This seems almost impossible to believe....

Sam Darnold has 52 completions of 20+ yards this season. Randall Cunningham had 55 (tied with Steve Young) for the league lead in 1998. Darnold is on pace for 68.

I'm seeing so many differences between Darnold and Cousins.
His mobility being one.
His athleticism to keep plays alive.
And this...this is an astounding statistic.
But I get a different number. If this is through 13 games (11-2 record), that's an avg of 4/game. With 5 games left, that means if he stays on his average, he'll end up with 72, not 68.
Let me put this into perspective for the entire league. Currently (after week 14):
Sam Darnold 52
Josh Allen 45
Jared Goff 45
Brock Purdy 45
Lamar Jackson 44
Justin Herbert 42
Bo Nix 42
Kirk Cousins 41
Baker Mayfield 41
Joe Burrow 40
Jordan Love 40
Geno Smith 40
Matt Stafford 40
Aaron Rodgers 39
Jalen Hurts 37
CJ Stroud 37
Jayden Daniels 36
Patrick Mahomes 34
Seeing a trend here? Just wow.

Well that is what happens when you have Jefferson and Addison. That helps. He won't have them the next place he goes. I think he is fools gold.

Vikings fans just can't believe what they are seeing. It's got to be something else; maybe coaching, or surrounding skill players. Can't be Darnold is one of the top QB's in the league; yet he is. I'm stoked about the potential of this whole team; have been all season. It's a fairly complete team.
My concern isn't Darnold. My concern is a defense that is not getting as much pressure or stopping the run as well as they did earlier. But I have a lot of confidence in this team and think the offense is getting better at the right time.
