OK, but let's get back to what we're talking about here. Before the Patriots "gave up" on this epic bust, he was rookie of the year his 1st season, he was the passing title runner up his 3rd season and after his 5th season, he was traded for THREE 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder. 

I think the Zach Wilson situation might be just a tiny bit different.

If Zach can land in the right situation, ie a team that coaches to a QB, he will be a find. Has way too many tools and only 22. I felt bad for him on draft day.

I think first zach has to show some personal growth,  something that tells a team that he recognizes his chances are limited and that he is ready to take on the role of a mentee and have the humility to use it to make himself a better football player so his many tools dont go to waste like has happened to so many other youngsters with a once bright future.

yes, he needs to want to suceed as well otherwise will just be another who couldn’t make it.

If I was Wilson and his family, I'd be VERY selective for my next spot. Look at the organization, culture, staff....he needs to take one step back to possibly move 2 forward. I wouldn't look at opportunity to play as much as 'what can I learn to improve and where can I do it' with an organization that is solid.

That right there would tell me if he's worth the risk.  My pitch would be we are bringing you in to compete for the #2 job for the next year or two,  and that is your expected role,  if he doesn't seem eager for the opportunity,   then he would be a hard pass right there.
