Presser tidbits

KOC said they are going to run a base 3-4, but it will be a multi front defense. Offenses may see multiple fronts on a single drive. The idea spot for Barr has always been as an attacking backer in a base 3-4 system. He could be a superstar with his athleticism at the position. As far as injuries, I have confidence this group won’t pull the kind bullshit Zimmer pulled on him. Zimmer made him take too many practice Reps even with the trainers telling him to lay off of him. The trainers would flat out tell Zimmer he is at great risk of injury and Zimmer didn’t give an F. Zimmer was a piece of shit the more I learn about him.
Will they get a deal done? I think so and hope so. Barr would be a beast in such a system. You’d have him coming from all different angles. He’ll scare the crap out of opposing QB’s. Olines will be forced to always account for him. I’ve always wanted him used this way, Zimmer just rarely stepped outside of his comfort zone.

If we keep Barr, then that 2nd round pick can be more flexibile (BPA of OLB or ILB or S).  How does every feel with a defense base of:

Richardson-Pierce-Tomlinson
Hunter-Kendricks-2nd Round Rookie-Barr
1st Round CB-Smith-Bynum-PP-Dantzler

Sauce or Stingley on one edge, PP on the opposite side with Dantzler going out wide when they go 3 WR

You would think Hunter, Barr, and a 2nd round stud could be a long and speedy group on the second level.  Would provide a lot of flexibility.

I mean that seems to be a talented defense, especially of both rookies perform.

I feel like this will never be the lineup as someone getting hurt before game 1.
